Honestly, I don't like Tali because of her huge following of fanboys that would cut your throat and the way she seems she is portrayed in both games, but more so her portrayal in ME2. I don't know if the 'Talimancers' or the 'Fight for the Love' group hates me more, but not much one can do about that.
I'm not a huge fan of Thane either. Brooding assassin with a death wish? I just don't find it that interesting. Plus, please don't die on my ship Thane. The Cerberus crew is too lazy to clean up anything. Oh, and his memory recall thing creeps me out.
Jack? I used to dislike her but I've been more sympathetic to her as of late. Just don't steal stuff if you decide to leave the ship okay?
Legion? It's a love-hate relationship.
Wait, so you admit you don't really
hate Tali, but you just hate the ridiculous following she's garnered over the years...
Amen to that, brother! (Though what do you mean by "the way she is portrayed?")
I also thought I'd hate Jack, but she kind of creeps up on you after a while. Oh, I'd still never pursue her as an LI, but I can still tolerate and even enjoy her violent, punky remarks from time to time.
And Thane... probably the one thing I'd have to disagree with you about. He may have a cliche personality foundation, but it's still pulled off well within the dialogue, as the fangirl base can definitely testify to (The movie Avatar being the paramount example of "It's not the story itself, but the way you say the story," because everyone knows Avatar was, at its roots, "Space-Pocahontas/Dances-with-Wolves"). However, I did think Thane was about to go into cardiac arrest every time he did the flashback memory relapse. To be honest, the way he did it kind of scared me.
And what's there to hate about Legion? The poor guy (thing?) barely says anything at all. Heck, Legion tries to shorten his own sentences to as concise and blunt as possible that can still be understood by us "inefficient-talking-peoples"--to save energy? I don't know.
