Anyway! I have to reinstall my operating system (windows XP) and I was wondering if I would face any complications reinstalling Dragon Age: Origins (Ultimate Edition) and the extra content which was first downloaded using the promo code. I would rather ask now before wiping my hard drive than after the event and finding that I couldn't replace the "extra" content.........Regards John

Normally I buy games through steam but I recently purchased a dvd copy of the game as I was getting fed up downloading gb's of data especially as I am restricted by my ISP to a monthly quota so this is the first time I have encountered this system for downloading "extra" content.. Personally I cannot understand why they couldn't put the extra content on the ultimate edition disc but that is just too easy you would think.

I know there have been some issues regarding downloadable content however there is a simple way to avoid it and to save all your saves. Just make a backup of the BioWare folder (by default stored in documents on windows), reinstall the operating system, install the game and put the folder you copied in documents again. That will spare all your settings in-game, all your downloaded content and all your saves.
