Does Leliana always appear the final moment of DA2 cutscene from all different possible endings in DA:O?

My question are if Leliana was the only love interest companion with the Warden in DA:O, then exported the save to Awakening where the epilogue said the Warden left the Vigil's Keep to travel with Leliana, does that mean Leliana always break up a few years later with her Warden lover and return to the Chantry to pursuit Hawke?

What if Leliana was never recruited in Lothering in DA: O, does she always survive the Lothering destruction and return to the Chantry only to resurface at the end of DA2?

Leliana is immortal.

Leliana always survives Lothering, no matter what. The warden vanishes, ala Revan and the Exile, sometime after DA:O. It is surmised that Leliana joins the chantry sometimes after that. How Leliana survives if the Warden kills her during the Ashes quest is unknown; however, Gaider has said that it isn't a bug or retcon.

She always shows up but her codex entry changes depending on how she was handled in DA:O, from being ignored completely to dying.

That's a good point because I forgot if Andraste ashes get destroyed by the Warden.

With so many little changes in details how the gamer played DA: O, Bioware has to ignore certain possible events to the characters if they want to bring the characters back.

We don't know if its the actual ashes that heal someone, or the mountain itself has some power that is passed on to the ashes. Even if she was decapitated, the mountain could heal her somehow (which is what people usually bring up).

Of course, that a rogue has a feign death ability goes ignored.

I figure it is just that the specific deathblows are not canon.

i mde a post about this but in a more evil sense - even if you kill her when defiling the ashes of andraste in dao - she still appears.

The seeker is secretly the illusiveman in disguise and the adraste project along with 2 billion sovereigns have brought her back.

I hate the argument people use regarding decapitation. "I decapitated her!!"

Gameplay =/= lore.

For the life of me I forgot about that entirely.... that is an extremely good point.

Abilities do equal lore. The Power of Blood tree that Avernus gives is an example. The schools of magic are another.

The cutscene also ignores whether or not Leliana was "hardened" in DA:O. Also, she doesn't bring up the foursome between me, her, Zevran, and Isabella.

Isabela brings up the sex if you bring her along, to which Leliana gets embarassed. And Merrill will be clueless. Or Varric will say "Maker's breath Rivaini, have you slept with everyone in Ferelden?"

Oddly enough, Aveline doesn't recognize Leliana even though she remembers her if you talk to Aveline in the chantry.

Eh...why would she bring that up? "Oh btw Hawke, I have never met you before and I don't know you but I see you are friends with Isabella so I feel I must tell you about the time she, Zevran, the hero of Ferelden and I had sex toghether". And honestly, Leliana hardly changed at all when she was "hardened" in Origins  so how would it show in DA2? It doesn't show on Alistair in DA2 either.

Are you saying Leliana could appear earlier in DA2 than just a cameo at the final cutscene? How do you get her to appear earlier in DA2? The DAO save imported to DA2 I used has Alistar left the Warden, Leliana only close friend to Warden and neither are harden.

You have to have the Exiled Prince DLC and accept the Faith quest in Act 3 from Sebastian.

What a clever marketing trick. I read at DA Wiki said if you imported save from Awakening, Nathaniel Howe will appear to help fight Meredith in DA2.

But it does make it more intriguing to replay DA2 again with all the DLCs (when Bioware has completed releasing every DA2 DLCs) and import save from DAO Ultimate Edition. I played barebone DAO only on X360 and DAO UE on PS3 with harden Alistar and Leliana, kept everyone alive and good relationship. The X360 DAO save I imported to DA2 has rather weak relationships because I didn't know how to do it right. Tried too hard to please Leliana and didn't get to romance her.

Nate appears if you have a save from Awakening in which he lived (he can be killed) or if you use the Martyr pre-made background. You'll get an Act 3 quest called Finding Nathaniel. If you complete it, he'll show up to fight Meredith.

yea Nathaniel can appear, but I think that's only if you have gotten rid of a few companions.

Nathaniel, Zevran, and Donnic can help out in the final battle, but usually your companions come out first. You can have a total of I think 8 people out on the field. I think Cullen counts to that number, and supposedly Dog does too.

And Sebastian seems to play an important role in DA2's story and what follows considering his story isn't over yet

Hmm, I've always had all my companions at the end (well, except my first playthrough, but that doesn't count) and Nate, Zevran, and Donnic appear alongside all my companions. The only time Donnic doesn't come out is if Aveline's not in your active party.

There's a hierarchy. Someone posted it a while back, really helpful, but I don't know where. But the game goes down list like it does to decide who gets kidnapped.

so that's how he repays me for letting him get with Aveline? I could've had her, but I decided that I should step aside in the name of love. what a jerk..... this is madness.....

The only time I can ask Aveline to request Donnic is when sided with the templar during the last words with all the companions before the final battle starts. But I couldn't tell if Donnic came since he would look like the rest of the templars fighting together.

Nope, Donnic comes if you side with the mages, too. He has for me, anyway.
