I'm thinking about running a general Dragon Age Fan Panel at an anime and video game convention this summer. I'd like to cover DA:O, DA:A, and DA:2 along with bringing in lore and characters from the books.
But I'm not sure how Dragon Age fans would want it set up. Most know the basics and don't want to be preached to, but having an open discussion about your favorite character is just set up for disaster.
If you were going to an event, what kind of format for a Dragon Age panel would you enjoy?

I've played DA:O, DA:A, and DA2 but haven't read any of the books, so summarizing what the books provide would be interesting. Back story tends to be really overlooked in a lot of games, but it's something I try to learn about before I start a character.
For example, in Mass Effect, I chose the 'ruthless' option for my Shepard character. Keeping in line with that, many of my choices were influenced by the question, "Is it possible that if I help this person, they would gain an advantage over me?" Thus, I killed every Batarian I could and was kind of a ****** to any non-humans, assuming that if the sh-t hit the fan, they would betray humanity to save their own race. Fascist maybe, but it was an interesting experience to play through.
I'm probably getting off topic now, but that sort of "What did you do and why?" is a fun discussion I think, and can easily bring about references to lore and personal interpretations of the character.
