According to the manual, if I hit 'F' to bring up the quick-spell tab, I can select a spell frm there and click on it to cast.
As a low-level paladin, I only have 'Lay on Hands' available, yet when I click on it nothing happens. The pointer doesn't change, and immediately clicking on an injured person to heal doesn't work either.
Am I just being daft here?

Lay on hands it a feat.

open up the character page and click on "feats" scroll around you will find lay on hands, drag icon on to action bar if you want.
