When I first installed the game (OC + MotB + patches) all was fine with it. The Auto-Detect graphics settings suggested that everything should be set to high, including shadows, and the game ran fine.

However, I loaded my save game again this morning and now it is running incredibly slowly, with ridiculous lag of both graphics and sounds making the game unplayable.
I turned graphics down to minimum, and shadows off, yet there is no change.
Closed the game and restarted it - still no change.
So I rebooted my laptop and restarted the game and it was back to as it was before (running perfectly) yet every now and then the game reverts to lag-mode forcing me to reboot again.

I checked to see if any processes were hammering the CPU and there wasn'y. No AV check running, no viruses either.
Could this be something related to my laptop or is it a known problem?
