Since it seems like lots of people seem to have similar issues to me, I figured I'd post what worked for me in the hopes that it helps someone else.

I ordered DAO: Ultimate through EADM.  It installed itself overnight, but all of the DLC still showed up as unauthorized even after redeeming the code to my account.  The missing piece for me was that the 'Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater' wasn't installed.  I found an installer in the '_Installer' folder named 'DAUServiceSetup.exe'.  Once I ran this, it added the services and I manually started it.  I then started the game, logged in, and everything was authorized.  I then went back to services and noticed it had turned itself off, but as long as I'm logged into the game, it's authorized.  Hopefully this helps someone else.

Thanks a million. I've been trying to figure out what was wrong for a couple hours and I had the same exact situation as you; I set it to download overnight and it installed. I ended up changing the content updater from "manual" to "automatic", but otherwise did the exact same thing and all my DLCs were finally authorized.

does anyone know why my DLC is now unauthorized?, I bought the ultimate edition, download all the DLC, compleated the game, decided to start again with another character, Had to reformat my drive my HD for one reason or another, copied my save data onto a flash drive, reformatted and reinstalled, copied save data back, played for a bit, then stopped for a bit, tried to carry on now all my DLC is un authorized.

There was a server problem some weeks ago with them being down for 2 weeks. Ever since many users experience this problem.... I had completed the game 7 times and then my DLC suddenly became unautorised and i was like O_o.

I did what the OP mentioned and it fixed for me... thanks a lot!

Glad you found a solution... but I do need to correct one thing:  the server issue (of April 8th) lasted three or four days, not two weeks.  Still too long, of course, and the dev's have promised to fix this on the client end with the next patch.

The need to log in every time to authorize is because your product key isn't in the windows registry. Open the Dragon Age: Origins Configuration Utility (DAOriginsConfig.exe) and check if your product key is in the "Game" settings.

If you are logged in, the game automatically checks for authorization every time, regardless of whether it has checked in the past.  If you authorize content then play offline, re-authorization will not be required.

I thought it was 2 weeks... sorry for providing false information, will do a search next time! =]

That doesn't appear to be true for the copy of the game that I downloaded from EA.  I checked the config utility and my key is not there, although I do find it in the registry under 'ergc' .

Yep the same thing for me. I have UE from ea store on my EADM and my game keys are not on the utility.
