Do we have any specific information on this? Do we get light/medium armors back?

All I can find right now is a vague ME3 has more customization and there's a return to ME1 RPG elements for some things, do you think that includes armor choices?

Thanks in advance for any juicy tid bits.

EDIT: I'm one of the people who would rather see my Shepard in something lighter then the default ME3 armor and have turned to mods to achieve this. The problem is I lose on the fancy blue lights.

So I'd LOVE to see what some of the NPCs were wearing in ME2 on my Shepard in ME3.

The modding community hasn't found a way to get these wearable as actual armor but only as casual wear, which only makes a lot of us sad pandas. :crying: I am hoping that we get more info on this as E3 or at least soon!! Thanks!

I don't think we have anything specific on that.

I hope we get some lighter/sleeker armor pieces at the least if we don't get the light/medium armors back, though.

Nothing yet, but they will be at E3. We should get a lot more info then. At least I hope so..

No specifics on that, yeah. But I think that BW is leaning more towards ME2-style armor customization. Just got that gut feeling.

I really hope that gut feeling is right on the money. ^_^

I do hope there is a little more variety though in styles for combat classes.

My adept I always felt should have a lighter/versatile style of armour.  Where as a Vanguard who gets up close should have more plating.

I hope that armor will actually do something.
More than anything else... I want it to actually be ablative and protect me, not be a worthless piece of paper.

I feel the same way, I play an infiltrator, your long range sniper and she can cloak in ME2 why am I wearing this tank for a suit? Especially when my squad mates all look like they are wearing their civilian clothes... :crying:

Really would love the option of sleeker suits or at least pieces if they go the same way as ME2 and give us a locker.

How in gods name does the default N7 armor look heavy?

Looks like it is modeled after the heavy armor suits in ME1 while the light and medium versions were taken out. If you haven't noticed I guess you don't have a problem. XD

Indeed. While adding certain pieces to the N7 armor (aegis vest) does make it look like heavy armor. The default version looks like a nice decent medium. Which I feel make sense no matter what class Shepard is. While I still prefer the ME1 light armor compared to some of the spandex suits in ME2. I still felt that many of them simply looked way too light.

Exactly how I feel. Bring back the Asari commando leathers!

One of the designers noted that Shepard's armor has changed in ME3 (though I don't really see the difference in what few photos they've release). That said, I still think they're sticking with the general ME2 formula when it comes to armor customization, but with more improvements. I doubt we're getting ME1's different sizes back. Not that I have a problem, to be honest. I thought Shepard's armor was just fine in ME2, even if customization was limited to a degree.

They're sticking with the armor customization, but it's on a grander scale this time.
I think there's one armor piece that allows for greater zoom with some weapons.

Just to illustrate I've just reskinned the old N7 light armor that's been modded into the locker:

That's what I'd love in ME3, maybe a little bit bulkier but not by much. I can understand why some may feel it's too light but that's why the different versions in ME1 were great.

Skinny parts please!

They need to have the armor customization from Mass Effect 2 back, but in greater detail. Have the choice to be able to pick what boosts you want with the armor, and have more pieces.

AND.... have bulkier plating. When I'm a soldier, I want to look intimidating, and be able to look down upon my enemies.

LOL. Well it's a lot more slender then the default ME2 armor in any case.

Whatever the choices are, my Shepard will be wearing the armor with the N7 logo. This way, every Reaper that dies by Shepard's hand will know it was courtesy of the Alliance's finest.

yeah, I'd like different suits geared towards different types of classes. You know how the kestrel armor was basically a vanguard's wet dream? Have some recoil reducing gauntlets for ranged soldiers, lab coats and leathers with bonuses to tech/biotics and cooldown time reduction.

That would go great with the Gears of War/Killzone style mechanic of picking up random weapons from the battlefield and using them.

I'd like more armour to choose from and more casual clothes to wear on the Normandy. I've been playing Saints Row 2 lately where I am spoilt for choice with clothes, I'd love for Shep to be able to buy some arseless chaps to wear around the Normandy.

In ME3 wearing the N7 logo will make sense again in ME2 I never understood it. The only excuse is that TIM wanted to make Shepard feel at home, other then that you're not Alliance, not really. Is there a spectre logo? There needs to be one...

Indeed there is a spectre logo. There are a few texture mods out there so you can make your Shepard fell more at home by having different logos. As the above image shows.

If you have a femshep and want her to flaunt some Spectre Gear you can mod Vasir's outfit onto her. Akodo has a good mod for it

Red works well and you can grab the mod here

But your right the N7 logo did seem out of place for a Cerberus vessel. Especially since N7 is an Alliance outfit. I guess as you say its just to remind you of your past and perhaps show that your relationship with Cerberus is temporary.

I just want the colours fixed. I was hoping to be able to pick a bumblebee scheme like the Survivor armour in ME1 for ME2. But alas, the colours on that spectrum (Orange, yellow, brown, tan) look horrible.
