So recently i upgraded my main windows hard drive and though i thought i had backed up everything, apparently i forgot my ME1 saves.
now i know theres proabably no real answer to this but i figured it was worth asking because someone may have read something or seen something posted here.
basically, for Mass Effect 3, do you just need your ME2 save, or do you need both the ME1 and ME2 save for import.
Cause if you need the ME1 save again, i have to go replay it since i no longer have one.

I don't think the ME1 save is required... but there was no official statment on saves yet from BW I reckon.

while I don't know for sure, I'm pretty certain you just need the ME2 import. it should have all the pertinent ME1 save data with it anyways. hope this helps.

Theoretically, you no longer need the ME1 saves if you already have ME2 saves ready. This is because of the obvious fact that the save system is cumulative and what you do in each save is simply added to your previous work to create a single collective file to be read by the ME3 importer.

figured there wasn't an official statement about it yet.
i was figuring you didn't need it because i've used the gibbed save game editor and you can see all the ME1 plot flags, but then bioware keeps saying, oh theres 1000 of choices from ME1 that affect ME3.
but at the same time, they said that about ME2 and it was only about 50 things lol.

Only Mass Effect 2 Saves. The Mass Effect 2 Save contains two plot tables one for Mass Effect 1 and another for Mass Effect 2 Decisions.
