If this is a proper place for a Wish, what of getting some full print or even large print Manuals for the games? Currently, the DAO, DAA, DA2, and ME2 manuals are far too small to do me much good, and there must be other Squints in the masses besides myself. And these gloss paper guides are hardly collectables; seem to cheapen the product, IMO.
Thanks again for the time!

They're pretty, valuable and shiny. But they don't fit snugly around overly sensitive feet......and make their wearers cranky, rude and obnoxious.:innocent:

I don't understand how you could think he said any of that unless you want to be disappointed. I mean, honestly.

If the audience of "Friends" got the joke (That's where I borrowed it from) without a problem, surely intelligent, "true" RPG fans can be expected to do the same?
Soapbox......you haven't seen me on a soapbox yet, dearie.

The game of DA2 was a guy that did a bunch of fetch quests with 3 story arcs that in any other game would have been nothing more than sidequests. You removed any connection a player could honestly feel towards his character by including VO's and a Mass Effect dialogue wheel. You removed the bulk of RPG elements from the game and called it "streamlining" when anyone would know it's called "consolizing" or "dumbing down".
The characters in DA2 were so weak and forgettable that I actually found myself missing characters from DAO that I didn't even like. I thought Sten was boring when I played DAO but by comparison to DA2 he's freaking amazing. The story was so disjointed and lacking that at times I had no idea why I was doing what I was doing. Maybe this isn't your fault - but maybe you should pay better attention to your writers. I'm not egotistical but I swear to God I could write better and more enjoyable characters in a few hours. Hell, I know grade schoolers that could have written a better story that had better pacing and more interesting developments.
The trash items were ridiculous, the lack of original item names was unforgivably lazy and the loss of customizable companion armor was tragic.
You talk about "improving" the changes you've made. YOU BROKE WHAT WAS AMAZING. You stood on the shoulders of Brent Knowles and said, "I could do things better" - and you failed. You failed and you constantly challenge the intelligence of the Bioware fanbase. Things aren't "different" in DA2 - they're worse. And when you say anything different, you come off like a crooked politician. I know that sounds harsh but that's how it is.

While I don't agree with the term "consolizing" (why? There are good games on consoles, not just on the PC), I think mostly the same as you.
But alas, I guess we're trolls.

Could you please restate your support, even in general terms, for a detachable camera as an important part of tactical gameplay? You were right, a detachable camera is an important feature, and DA2 doesn't have it. I really wish it did.

This will be the last post i make in this thread as my presence here causes a mild seering of the skin, but i'm wondering at what point this doesn't become applicable. I mean, we had Laidlaw's plentiful assurances pre-release, skepticism then was on less firm ground then now. I get being optimistic, but as another thread(probably several actually) pointed out, this isn't he or bioware as a whole coming out and definitively saying how they are going to go about fixing the numerous issues. Maybe thats too much to expect, actually i'll agree it probably is, but don't act like skepticism is unwarranted and a result of some biased than can't also be attributed to unfounded optimism.
