Where was I praising DAII over the last few pages? Let's not turn this into a flamewar, shall we?

No more ridiculous than Baldur's Gate 2's corpse explosions.

I'm using a mod that gets rid of them for the most part. (Only keeps them for spells like Walking Bomb)

And?

What about console players? Can they use a mod to get rid of the ridiculous blood 'splosions?

No. But Patch 1.03 is fixing them. (Mike himself confirmed this in this very thread)

You'd think they'd learn from their mistakes, wouldn't you. This is precisely why I don't believe Mike Laidlaws "apology" for a second.

That was false advertsing, Hawke is not the most important person ever, Cassandra finds this out when she finds out the true story of Hawke, not the legend.

So if they lied to us right on the box, and in every single piece of marketing material why should we trust that Mike's post is sincere? Maybe he only did this because the marketing department wanted to clamp down on the negativity surrounding the game. If they lied to us before why would they stop now?

We will know if he's lying when we see some news for DA3 and when it's announced.

I'm not trying to sound hostile here, but...will patch 1.03 also fix DA2 giving me the worst case of deja-vu ever?

Didn't know anyone here brought up reality in BG2, but by all means. Also, cutey, if you're going to use mods to prop up your beloved DA2 why then can't you find a mod in oblivion that changes horses to suit your delicate sensibilities? Oh, because you're biased. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.

You were saying?

I will, don't you worry. If I'm honest, I find it far more entertaining laughing my head off at people like you i.e. naive people.

Yes. It's all a HUGE conspiracy so they can get more death threats and demands that they be fired. That must be it.

Honestly, I understand some of the skepticism........but this is really a bit.....much.

Enough with the bickering.

If you guys want to fire shots back and forth, keep it to PMs, or preferably, out of the forums entirely. No one in this debate is doing anything other than trying to 'win' the argument - which, by now, you should realize isn't going to happen on these forums.

Worked for me. In DAII, that is. Oblivion......esp. unmodded? No way.

Didn't work for me, Dragon Age II allows you only to be reactionary you can't ever be pro-active. Hawke spends most of her time sitting around on her narrow ass waiting for things to fall apart so she can get involved at the very last possible second.

At least in New Vegas if I didn't like a faction I could start undermining their efforts from the start of the game.

So I would hardly call someone who is 100% reactionary and has no control over anything a complex fantasty character and certainly not "The Most Important Person In The History of Thedas".

I agree, I hate New Vegas for being the bug ridden mess that it is, but I loved the quadrouple crossing you could get in if you played your cards right.  When every faction is undesirable, its nice to know you can do mean things to all of their cornflake bowls in the morning.  It would have been nice to have the middle of the road path work a bit better in DA2.  Mages CAN be uncontrollable monsters and Templars CAN be overbearing, genocidal zelots.  Both need to be called on that more often.

They wouldn't. BioWare's marketing is filled to the brim with nothing but confidence-men. DA2 taught me so.
