Speed Griffons...ha ha ha ha!

I like the image of the tower. I'd like to see a Durlags tower type of dungeon. It doesn't even have to have huge meaning to the total story, just a good old fashion great dungeon.

I think I saw John Marston in the second picture.

John Marston is the bacon of gaming. He's great in anything, from RPGs to shooters to dating sims.

On topic, I don't think the Griffon Outpost in pic 3 is something recently made. So it couldn't be an outpost for the Primeval Thaig, which they were looking into and seems like DLC fodder. In the deep roads I imagine statues and things that serve no pratical purpose are far down on the list of what you need down there. But those buildings just look old.

Tsk, tsk. It's obvious what the final screen shot is:

It's the brothel that nice girl with the gryphon tattoos from 'The Pearl' in DA:O set up as her retirement business. It's in the red light district and has statues that look like her tattoos in the front. It's called "The Lay Warden."

definitely an old Warden keep, and something seems eerie about it...

I hope they do an expansion and the cliff hanger ending isn't left for DA3. And I hope it isn't summed in DLC. It didn't work well with Morrigan, it won't work well with this.

Come to think of it, I don't even remember horses in Dragon Age. Does Thedas have any draft animals at all? Also, if there were Gryphons, would they actually be mountable, or are they simply another creature?

Gryphons are mountable. The Wardens of old rode them.

And Orlais has horses, and a Fereldan Human noble can compare the Halla to horses which means Warden Cousland has either seen or has owned horses.

Hmmm... I would be very surprised if the dlc took place after the big fight in the gallows. They made a big thing about Hawke disappearing, feels like there is more to it so I'm guessing that it takes place during the 10 years in Kirkwall. Wonder if you can choose yourself in which act you play it? Really happy seeing these pics =) it looks promising!

I'm betting it's during time jump of Act 2 to 3, the Champion enforces their epicness by completing the DLC.

I like the idea of Sigrun returning, Valenna is back with her clan in my head canon.

I think pic 2 and 3 are the same place one the above ground town/fortress and then the Gray Warden base underneath.

I would love some Morrigan DLC. I can't accept that the last we'll see of her was in Witch Hunt.

Also my thoughts on Griffins are...
Image IPB

I don't know how'd you introduce them in DLC. I guess if it was the size of awakening it would be achievable.

I'm pretty sure Hawke didn't disappear instantly after the fighting, I think the disappearances are more recent, seeing as it's 3 years between the Gallows incident and Varric telling the story and it would seem the Seekers would be pretty late otherwise.

Umm, Velanna's endings pretty much only include her disappearing in the deep roads or staying with the Wardens.

Selfishly, I hope the DLC takes place during the interim years between Acts 1 and 2 or Acts 2 and 3. Why? Because I adore Anders and I don't know if he'd return (or any of the other companions for that matter, just going by DAA and WH, but Anders especially given how many people seem to have murderknifed him) if the DLC was post-game. I just don't want to wander around without my friends and LI again. Especially when Varric insists Anders remained at my side. *sigh* It was bad enough losing Zevran after he promised to stick close.

epilogues can't be considered the canon endings anymore you know unless stated in game, like how Dworkin's epilogue where he went into hiding is confirmed by his cousin Temmerin

Yeah I assume it will "fill in the gaps" which is a sort of a nice out for setting these things up. You start with Varric sitting in a tavern telling the story "you didn't know" about the Champion.

The deal made about the Champion and Warden both vanishing seems like the hook in some way for DA3 and dealing with the world in flames that is now out there.

Actually, Velanna always disappears. She either disappears at Vigil's Keep during the battle with the Mother's forces if she was left behind, or she disappears in the Deep Roads years after being with the Wardens (regardless of whether The Warden spared the Architect or not). I'd like to think she would still save the village if she disappeared and changed her opinion about humans because of her friendship with The Warden.

Oh, I see then. Still, it would be interesting to discover her down there.

Untrue. If you have high approval with Velanna and do not bring her with you to the dragonbone wastes the epilouge states that Velanna stays with the Wardens. If you bring her with you however she will meet with her sister again and the epilouge later will say something like; "Velanna disappeared one day beliving that she saw her sister".

I am curious to when Bioware plan to release the next DLC, I was about to start a topic asking if they had simply given up on DLC for DA2. It's been two and a half month since DA2:s release and we haven't recevied nor heard about any DLC (except the lousy item pack but that does not count). In 2-3 weeks most employees go on vacation and the game releases during July are few.

So unless we get a new DLC during the first half of June I doubt we will be getting any at all until September or maybe late August.

Sorry for posting twice btw. :innocent:

You can kill Velanna instead of recruiting her, so I doubt that she will return.

None of the companions in Awakening are mandatory recruits so by that logic nobody could return. Velanna can be killed, Nathaniel can be killed, Justice can be killed (or his body at least). Also even those that cannot be killed by the player can still die defending Vigil's Keep if the Warden choose to save Amarathine instead (except for Oghren, he always survives as far as I know).

Besides we allready know that it doesn't matter to Bioware what you did with your companions in previous games. Zevran and Leliana returns in DA2 even if you killed them in Origins.

Ha! This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw that tower... scary. :P

I'm thinking we might be looking at an expansion rather than dlc though. Three new areas seems like a lot just for dlc, but who know.

Zevran's return is a bug as far as I know. Leliana and Anders are the only ones where they retcon it, and it's a pretty okay retcon according to me.
