Throwing out snide insults isn't going to help anyone. He just doesn't want to be taken the wrong way.

Surely you can understand the OP's personal concerns even if you don't agree with them.

Yup no old LIs for s/s romance.

Joker is totally up for grabs though.

Bi Joker romance would be love.

What is there to be concerned about?

As soon as you claim you are not homophobic by justifying gay friends, you have lost me.

*sigh* I know :(

But I'm painfully aware that there are people out there who think exactly like that.

Nuttin' we can do about that. But thinking like that is its own punishment, if you ask me. Nothing we can say will make anyone feel differently, they'll either change their minds or they won't. In any case, we have s/s content in Mass Effect 3 to look forward to, so I'm happy about that.^_^

Indeed. Nobody, or very few people, want the entire crew to suddenly be available for romance by both genders and BioWare aren't likely to slot in more than a couple same sex romances anyway. I don't see why people always have to go to their worst case scenario. BioWare have been taking into consideration a lot of input from the fans as of late so I think it's likely they'll try and keep as many people happy as possible. And so there will be compromises.

Those are some very well-worn tropes. I tend to think twice about prefacing a statement with "I'm not _________, but..." because it inevitably follows that the next statement will embody that very thing. Better to just state your piece, and let people draw their own conclusions.

@Rynluna

There's bound to be someone out there who would call me racist for using the word "******" or however the hell it's spelt to describe someone from Pakistan. I wouldn't fall on having a Pakistani friend to protect me though.

I've LIVED there. And they quite freely use the same word among themselves. Because 'Stan' means 'land' - it's ******-Stan. ******-land.

It's the western world that bastardized the holy crap out of the word to make it derogatory, like so many other words.

*lifts riot shield against high-and-mighty/politically-correct types* Just to be clear, I don't actually use the word purely because it doesn't come to mind enough to talk about.

I just want to say, I would gladly have m/m romances in ME3. ManShep and Kaidan would be incredibly hot. Kaidan got pretty good-looking, if the ME3 screens are any indication.

"male gay" is kinda redundant. :P Maybe I'm wrong, but "homosexual" seems to be the umbrella term, gay refers to men, and lesbian refers to women. And then there's everything inbetween.

Firing lasers at space ship people, re-animating the dead, faster than light travel, magic powers, and giant violent turtle people are all perfectly easy to accept and take seriously, but if something that occurs regularly in the real world is in the game, *that* will mean you can't take the game seriously?

Gay technically refers to homosexuals of any gender but is often used for males alone. I'm not sure why that is though but I've noticed it a lot on this forum, particularly from straight people. I don't know if that's because there's been a general acceptance of lesbian content and distaste for m/m content or whether it's a more general trend.

People say they can't take M/M seriousy, when they're playing a game where certain characters will willingly have sex with each other while risking anaphylatic shock LULZ.

Aren't double standards just hilarious?

Oh, indubitably.

Man now I am really into the idea of making a ManShep just to romance Kaidan, if it's at all possible. Because hot damn, yes.
