The origin of this unique Katar is unknown, however it is thought to be very old. A band of slavers came one night upon a small group of adventurers and overpowered them. One of those left alive managed to conceal his only possession; a two pronged katar which was small enough to be held out of sight. The adventurers soon found them selves in chains and they were bolted to mine carts to insure that they would always be loading and unloading the same cart which never left the mine. The two pronged dagger became the adventurers only memory of freedom but the opportunity to use it was greatly hindered due to the fact that they were deep in the mines and no guards needed to go there. But the dagger was more than a memory it was a chance and the adventurer managed to disengage his fetters with one of the prongs of his katar - deep within the mine the adventurer freed as many of the slave as he could from their chains, most armed themselves with pickaxes others carried their chains for weapons. The adventurer led the band into an uprising and they slew all of the guards in a surprise attack. Before they could truly be free an arrow found the adventurers heart and he fell dead with the katar in his fist. One of the repatriated warriors took up the katar and shouted "LIBERTY!" and slashed his way past the remaining guards. The warrior found his way to a free city and had the word "Liberty" engraved upon each prong.
