While I prefer blank tiles, I have found that counter tops that are built into the tileset work nicely. Items in game can be placed on the table/counter top that is part of the tileset (as long as the wok mesh includes the counter top). Shadows also work better for these features. Placeables however do not allow items to stack on them on the fly.

in fact im a bit worried by the tilecount, which is the 1st responsable of the increase of area loading time in servers. In fact, I think the set file isnt cached while the placeable 2da seems to, at least to my knowledge. this means every time your char jumps from an area to another, the higher the tilecount of the tileset, the longer the wait. we'll see if its possible to add soemthing once i have everything complete, though im all for giving priority for architectural geometries that cant get full justice by the simple use of placeables, like fireplaces (I like fireplaces, I want to make some more!)

thought that as well but many peoples around claims its not an issue

Here's a new teaser, thats a feature I made today, a bit high on polys basically due to all those little columns, but nice.

Worm if you in the building mood I will provide you a pre-release version so you can check it, see if everything works fine and maybe give me hints on future development!

Oh I am in a building mood and have been for the last +4 years!!! I wouldnt dream of turning down such a generous offer, and I can guarantee a heavy playtesting/Buildtesting but I will allow you to make the final decision. you can always send me a PM to set up a way to get a hold of a copy.

*does a little dance*

In the middle of skybox creation: atm Im at 7, but I will add a few more, so if you want something and I can do it, drop a line (keep in mind this tileset wont include any modern/scifi content so if you feel to ask modern cities, the answer is a no). those are far from perfect, but i dont have time to edit each single texture in detail so deal with it, if some of you want to help improving the textures and has skills with pshop, just drop a line below: i can provide the files, making skyboxes is kinda easy if you have a bit of confidence with layers and the basic editing procedures; probably there will be and additional winter hak to use in conjunction with trinity tileset, so the seasonal change of the exteriors will reflect the interiors' skyboxed windows.

I would love something similar to a skybox found in CEP called "CCS_Plateau_2". It gives the feeling that you are at the bottom of a valley. The only thing I don't like in regards to that one is that it is meant to be used as a plateau as the name suggests and you can see water at the top of horizon. But the geometry somehow feels off.

I would love to have a skybox that makes you feel surrounded by high peaks and you are at the bottom of a valley. Done in your way. Because Sen, these other skyboxes are simply dreamy.

Vecna, the best is if you link me to some 360 panorama pic, which i can rework! if you dont find any, just a pic of the valley of dreams; also, if it happens to stumpel onto some medieval city card linkie linkie plzz

Wow those look amazing. Are they going to be vault content later? My main issue with skyboxes is that I don't care for the highly pixelated ones... wrecks the atmosphere of the game for me.

Jenna those boxes are made to fit the windows, but i see no reason (aside the horizon line) why they shouldnt be converted to skyboxes for exterior use, though i never had a chance to play with skybox models
