It's too bad there's only a single way to learn many of the specializations. It forces you to behave a certain way to get the specialization you want. It's made even weirder if they've kept the ability to take any specialization in later playthroughs once you've unlocked it. To be a blood mage on the first playthrough I have to make a deal with the desire demon but later playthroughs I'll be able to take blood mage talents even if I kill it? Weird.

You know I could think of worst things in the world than being friends with a Desire Demon.
That is if you do get to be friends and are not just pawn...ok you probably just get to be a pawn.
I'm not saying it would be the ideal relationship.... but y'know

The classes section says you learn champion from Arl Eamon and nothing else. But Loghain's companion section mentions he may teach it to you if you can get him up to warm. Nice to see Prima guides still suck as much as I remember,

It has been noted before that once you unlock a specialization, it remains available....does this mean that if I pursue one questline line option, get the unlock, and then reload the save game, will it *still* be unlocked?
Also any news on the where the Arcane Warrior specialization occurs? Enquiring minds gotta know.

Arcane warrior is gained by "The Presence" in the Brecilian Ruins. Nature of the Beast Questline.
Possible hilarity. Give Wynne the blood mage specialization. Reveal yourself as a blood mage. Wynne turns against you.
PC: Wynne YOU are a blood mage.
Wynne: No. That's not true!. That's impossible!!!!
PC: Search your character sheet. You know it to be true.
Wynne: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Every geek better get that reference!
