Several times now, I've started a new ME2 game, only to have the disc freeze up right before the Lazarus Project customization screens are supposed to load up. I get the screen with the "skull" graphic, and the word "Loading" in the lower right corner—and the XBox won't respond to any commands and has to be restarted. So, I then have to go through the rigamarole of rescuing Joker's sorry ass AGAIN. Really, that was a huge design blunder. How stupid to have such a long sequence—and no save point or way to truncate it for multiple playthroughs. <_<
Please have a skippable intro in Mass Effect 3.

That has happened to me a couple of times too... funnily enough it happened the very first time I tried to play the game. Most frustrating.
I get that nobody wants to accidentally skip something important first time through... but couldn't skipping the intro be an option activated once you had beaten the game or something...?

The above is a good idea, making the intro skippable once you've finished the game once. I'm privileged enough to have enabled this through the wonders of slightly altering the coalesced.ini file, but it shouldn't be a feature exclusive to the PC, nor should it be a hassle to enable.
I support this feature!

/support! x10000000000.
It takes around 13 minutes to do that stupid intro. 13 minutes! If you have to do it again because of that stupid bug, that's the best part of half an hour gone...
I think this would be a great option for everyone who's playing the game multiple times, and hopefully it will be something Bioware consider.

For support I'd suggest posting in the general discussions board. Might garner more attention, plus players on other formats might well concur.

I totally support a skippable intro, and I'm a PC.
Oh, and as for taking a bathroom break, what about the fact that in ME2, I have to watch part of the intro, pick some crappy dialogue choices, make Shepard walk around the wrecked Normanday, pick more dialogue choices, then I get to sit through the rest of the intro, then at long last I get to Character Creation.
Bioware, what was even the point of making any part of the intro sequence interactive? And unskippable?

Agreed. If it weren't terrible enough that your face didn't end up like you wanted it to be, the game would freeze up occasionally at the skull loading screen.
