You're very welcome, of course.

Hi, just a quick question.
I wouldn't ask, but there's no way I'm getting my hands on a demo, since I didn't pre-order BF3, so I can't test it.
So, I have Asus M50VN, which should be okay (Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz, 4GB RAM) except for graphics. It has GeForce 9300M GS (512 MB).
Which should be below minimal requirements, if I understand it correctly.
I can run ME2, COD:MW3 without a glitch (low-res of course).
Does the rule: "If it can run ME2, it's going run ME3." apply here, or is it just not going to run?
(www.systemrequirementslab.com says no, which it does for MW3)

The idea was only applicable to hardware that was already officially above the minimum. That 9300 M was already below minimum, so it couldn't and didn't run the game as well as the game was intended to run.
For a change, SR Labs' and I are in agreement. As you already discovered, game minimums frequently have leeway in them for people willing to put up with lower than average results.

Everyone can play the single player demo on February 14th and the multiplayer demo on the 17th. Owners of BF3 just get early access to the multiplayer demo on the 14th, but there will be other ways to play the multiplayer portion early. Those will be revealed on the 7th. The demo is in no way exclusive to owners of BF3.guyfromprague wrote...

Intel® Core i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
8.0 GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit.
ME1&2 run at 60 fps on this machine. With forced antialiasing, it runs at 30 fps. Which works because 60 fps looks waaayy too smooth for me.

With that rig, you had a little overkill in your favor, and that will still be true for ME-3, of course.

Okay, how about this:
Lenovo IdeaPad G770
(Intel Pentium Dual Core B960 (2.2GHz); AMD Radeon HD 6650M (2GB); 4GB DDR3 RAM).

I do not feel at all favorably about any of the variations of Intel's processors that still carry a "Pentium" label on them. Most of them have been severely cut down to lower the cost, making the performance quite poor in terms of gaming. I think you would need to be able to overclock it up to 3 GHz to make it worth considering.

i recommend "ASUS Geforce 560 DIRECT CUT II - TOP" - about 130-160€

That is a wide variation in pricing over there, and at the upper end might not be as good of a value on a dollars per frame rate basis as the 560 Ti version; any disagreement?

I have NVIDIA GEFORCE 9400
Intel® Core 2 duo CPU E7500@ 2.93GHz
2 GB Ram
So I want to run Mass Effect 3 at 720p , I ran ME2 at the same reso and it ran almost smoothly except a few times but it did'nt pose a lot of problem, Will I be able to play at the same resolution or I need to upgrade?

Strange things are happening to "Quick Reply" comments in these forums. I had in fact answered this four days ago, and I am pretty sure looked at the comment in the thread's context, but it is gone, now. It's the third or fourth in as many days that have gotten lost.
The answer is that the 9400 GT was already below the minimum requirement for the current game, so the assumption MUST be that even MORE occasions of slowdowns will be prevalent in ME-3, unless the card (if it's a desktop) or the PC (if it''s a laptop), is replaced.
For anyone stubborn enough to insist on using pure trash for a video solution, there is NO SUPPORT for Intel's bad crap. Personally, I consider Intel's bad attitude about graphics to be a slap in the face to game players. I do not attempt to assist anyone with the masochistic desire to buy and use Intel graphics tinker toys in a real world situation.

Although I have not yet made the choice to purchase ME-3, there does not appear to be any officially published update for the finished game's minimum and recommended requirements. I'm going to be at Walmart in an hour, and will write down what the packaging says about it to compare to the Demo.

I have the box right here. No recommended requirements on the box, just the minimum.
OS: Windows XP (SP3) Vista (SP1) Win 7
Processor: 1.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)
RAM: 1 GB XP / 2 GB Vista and Win 7
HDD: 15 GB free space
GPU: 256MB with Pixel shader 3.0. Nvidia 7900 or better / ATI X1800 or better (Geforce 9300, 8500, 8400, 8300 not supported / Radeon HD3200, HD3300, HD4350 not supported)
I remember seeing the requirements on an official website. I'll look for them.
Edit: The system requirements, including recommended specs, are on the Origin website. The store automatically redirects me to a localized version. I'm not gonna bother translating this, it should be obvious enough:

I haven't looked at ME-3 running anywhere through this date. Seems to me I'd be way too unhappy paying more than bargain bin prices for it before some time in 2013, perhaps. Meanwhile, new members are trying to ignore the ME-2 requirements again, so the original (ME-2) question seems a prudent offering again.
