Can go to GoG or Neo for forums, though you could contact them directly at their community section on main site if need direct answers, if scroll down it you will find their email addresses for contacts.

I am too used to the structure here and the different sections for story, gameplay and whatnot, that I'd have a hard time fitting there.

Buying UE at a discount is cheaper than buying the separate DLC it comes with.

Exactly.

@ Xeweka
Yes. Especially since my DA:O and DA:A copies were on console back when I had a crappy PC.

So why, at the same time, do you guys think it has elements that are a barrier to people?
Honest question.

Yes, I do. To use one example, I know that there are people who fire up a game like Origins, see either character generation or a big wall of stats to pick and they immediately turn it off again. I also am cognizant that there are people who see that big wall of stats and get really excited.

I believe that there are more of the former than the latter. It doesn't mean either side is wrong, and it sure as hell doesn't mean we should cut stats, it just means that, perhaps, opening the game with a big wall of them is not ideal.

More of the former won't even purchase a DA game to begin with. So it's more important to please the latter who will spread the word to the former that it's worth it to invest some brain power in the game.

See: DAO and The Witcher 1 &2.

I have found that the BSN forums are really the most intuitive and user friendly amongst any other gaming sites that I visit. And you have the off topic forum, which gives you the freedom to have that long TW2 thread.

This is a great site, however weird the SomethingAwful.com blog thinks we are. :wizard:

Does the Witcher have a forum? Maybe we can go over there and complain about it non-stop for months.

Granted, it probably doesn't need one given how eager everyone seems to be to co-opt it into every single thread on BSN.

Tbh they have same sort of thing going on over on those forums, for example they talk about DA2 there...

how the **** is this game's budget allot less then say dragon age 2?

looking at it you'd think the opposite

Lower wages/salaries and costs in that part of the world.

Also, Red seems to be a lot better at managing their resources.

just how much do bioware devs get paid then WTF?

American software engineer wages.

(?)

So it's not like they don't have Bioware discussions over there.

Until we get to see the offspring of Meredanders in a new game, no game will surpass DA2. :police:

You jellin? Face it, Geralt will never even approach the radiant beauty that is Meredanders. There is no point in playing a roleplaying game in which you cannot craft the protagonist into a sexy drag queen.

Hmm... Is it only me then who actually thought the Leandra death was pretty good? I mean, I didn't see it as disappointing at all - I was actually hoping and hoping as I traversed that place that I'd be able to save her, and it's one of the only times DA2 ever made me think like that... Certainly, the Carver/Bethany death at the beginning was pretty lame, but for me, as somebody who was very disappointed with DA2, I thought All That Remains was fantastic (in fact, the best part of the game?).

It would have, even if she did die in the end..but it had a major plot hole, a glaring one...again. My Hawke, does magic off the boat, she causes murder and mayhem in broad daylight all the time. But she has to wait until dark to go looking for her mother? Knowing that there is a vase of lillie sitting on the table at home, knowing what that means? If my mother had been taken by a serial killer, and I knew that? Hell couldn't stand in my way let alone waiting for a few hours. The excuse for such was...paper thin and left me feeling anger at her death because my Hawke had to sit around with her thumbs up her ass...again.

Other than that..yeah it would have been a really cool part of the game (stil was on some levels) and would have been even better with choices to save her.

That part of the game was a shock.
I was so use to saving everyone in most games I expected it to happen again.

My Hawke could of saved her if wasn't for forced plot incompetence regarding not allowing my character to do the most basic natural thing... Ask 'about her boyfriend' given the long amount of time my Hawke knew about the dating and was forbidden to interact aka immersion breaking lack of dialogue... /sigh

I just got through chasing a guy who kills women, didn't catch him > find out she dating someone and over the years not allowed to enquire as to who shes dating... Then the cliché zombie plot.

Sorry but glad some people like it but for me it was rather lame way to handle it.

For me it was the opposite. It didn't get to me because not enough effort was put in getting me emotionally connected with either her or Hawke. Just as Hawke didn't feel like he was "me", his mother's death didn't really make me feel like I'd really lost anything. After the very early game, all she did was hang around the house.

As a consequence, because of the lack of interaction, her death kind of felt like a cheap way to try and introduce gray shades. "See? Mages ARE bad. They killed your mother!"

I didn't feel moved by Leandra's death, either. KoP made the interesting point of mentioning how Hawke doesn't even investigate Quentin's accomplice (from the letter signed "O"). I guess Hawke wasn't moved by Leandra's death, too. It doesn't surprise me, since he doesn't seem to care about what happens to Bethany at the end of Act I, and never mentions it to Cullen in Act II.

And let me guess. Cassandra's entire plan hinges on her finding both Hawke and the Warden (who disapear with no trace), and somehow knowing that they will end on opposite  sides (even if Hawke saved mages and the Warden is a mage). And that these two super heroes will prevent the whole war.

I am loving the direction of the plot. All we need is more crazy idols, lunacy, idiocy and incompetence, and Thedas would be the biggest circus in the history of video gaming.

The plan clearly doesn't necessarily depend on the Warden or Hawke, since Cassandra asks "do we continue with the original plan or keep looking".

Seeing how she's almost begging to find Hawke at the end for very little reason, I would not put that much faith in her "original plan".

But we'll see.
