The voice, and way quest branch off really did for me DA2 in replayable department. When came to DAO, once I get Ostargar, I felt there was not much point because the classes and races only made minor different in story replayable. So any body thought on this?

The way the quests branch off? Which is to say, they don't? DA2 is essentially the same game all the way through. Well, DAO is mostly the same as well outside of the first hour of the origins, but at least it maintained the illusion of choice. DA2 didn't even bother. I suppose in some way that could make it "easier."

Exactly what quest branched off in DA2?

I found DAO much much easier then DA2 even on Nightmare. Mage's were so OP and rogues could do more damage and hit faster then a 2hand warrior.

Combat and difficulty is where I believe DA2 improved.

Hahaha That was funny OP. Thanks for the morning laugh. Ringo, I found it the opposite. Combat was extremely easy in DA2. Just too effing long with all those waves and GoW/DMC boss healthbars.

I kept wondering where the QTE's are, actually. And then I remembered TW2 has them, sadly.Image IPB

The way it was done in DAO funnily killed it's re-playability for me yes.
While I think it's an awesome game, don't get me wrong, I ended up going through the motions.
The clear separation between the 4 directions you can pick to take in any order, while having to still do them all before the game's conclusion didn't work for me.
I think about this and conclude maybe it's because I for one am not a huge deep roads fan, the 'broken circle' gets rather repetitive too after the first time. I did honestly enjoy the Dalish bit quite alot. Orzammar, mwoah.
The only thing it did was change locale and offer a ton of quests not dissimilar to DA2 did with just the 'one locale'. I liked Kirkwall though, I actually was emerced in DA2, the repetitive environments didn't even bother me all that much.
It worked better for me in DA2.

I wouldn't know I haven't bothered myself with a full DA2 replay, but yeah I'm also curious where quest did branch of in DA2?

I Didn't liked the game the first time I tryed, it was somewhat hard for me to start thinking on going to companions houses, when I went there they never had anything to say and I was so annoyed..

I didn't even got to know the companions like I did with Origens, and to me Isabela and Fenris were compleatly broken lol... I tryed for a second time and everything start falling to place, even liked Merril wich I compleatly ignore the first time.
I suppose just need it time to get use to the new way, now I like the game and Fenris is the only character I always want to romance hehe, Anders is not too bad just can't compete with Fenris! Isabela/merril/ are fine but I like males more.

Wishing something is done with romances they feel broken to me, am not sure how to describe it, doesn't feel normal. Few things still bother me from the game, lets hope bioware is somehow able to repair the damage, like act3.

No way. Its a boring chore in DAII.

Replayed Origins many times and will do so again when the time allows. Stopped on 3rd playthrough in DAII and never want to go back. F that game.

It's too linear to warrant a replay for me. For example, you have the option to free or kill a group of people in DA2. But if you free them, you kill them later. Nothing you do matters.

Every time I replayed Origins I discovered something new and really felt the impact of making a different choice than I had before. So I would say the the quality of an Origins replay is higher. But, I am now on my third playthrough of DA2 and am still enjoying it. Since the game's main plot is shorter I can blaze through repetitive parts pretty quickly to get to the content I'm looking forward to. In Origins you are locked in to some of the more tedious quests no matter what. I also think combat is a lot more fun and feels like less of a chore than Origins.

I replayed DAO at least 4 times, but I can't answer the question until I find enough courage or enough alcohol to start a second DA2 playthrough.

Alcohol does make DA2 easier to swallow.

I did 3 playthroughs of DA:O but with DA2, I couldn't finish a 2nd one as the combat got tediously boring and the fact that no matter what side i picked i got the same ending.

While I was forced to play on nightmare, cause that’s the only possibility to have FF with I managed to complete DA:2 once. This game has no replay value to me. I going back to DA:O and DA:A for my 4. playthrough.

LOL, really?

A mage should a drastically different playthrough in DA2 then warrior or rogue.

Instead with get characters with lines that are directed to MY MAGE HAWKE as, "Mages aren't like you and I" And "Be on the look out for apostate mages"

Where as in DA:O being a elf or dwarf, not possible in DA2 btw, actually would mean characters would respond to you differently.

I completed Dragon Age Origins 6 times. On the other hand, i've played through the sequel twice.

When I replayed DA2 I just felt like I was playing the same character, the only difference being his class. I ended up making choices more or less identically because that was what I saw Hawke doing. Contrast that with Origins where I really felt each time I was playing a different character.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Sometimes opinion can only go so far. I fail to see a single quality that DA2 has that DAO doesn't that improves replability, where as DAO has truck-loads that DA2 doesn't. That and the game's metacritic score is 9 points higher which also proves it's of higher quality...

Getting past Ostegar was a pain but otherwise no, i did enjoy playing the most annoying Hawke imaginable... Started to get annoyed myself though, so i just killed him repeatedly.

well it might be slightly true, youre only limited with a male and female with three classes, Origins you have male or female human noble, male or female elf or human mage, male or female dalish or city elf, and finally dwarf male or female noble or commoner. so actually its da2 that made minor differences in story. mage to warriors(rogues), and male to female, however im at least going to play DA2 6 times until more dlc comes out

Voice allowed to do replay couple just combo the different hawke personality. It interest depending on how you roleplay you could really change hawk s chacacter beyond charm, diplomantic, or aggrative.

I had more fun playing the fade 10 times than playing trough DA2 once , uninstalled before act 3 , i think it says much on replayablility
