Why can't you just stomp Anoleis's face for the garage pass?

ya that reporter with the 12 sylable name? she was definetly annoying, she makes herself sound stupid the whole interview, and tries to bring shepard crashing down with her.

back on topic, ive always hated anoleis whenever i visit noveria (posted a rant on him a couple posts back:P). but recently i found that you can actually get thru the garage a number of different ways. although i chose to simply get lorik queer to testify, because of internal affairs lady who SPOILER!

but we can also talk to the hanar who wants goods smuggled in, and then turn them over to annoleis. another choice is to break into loriks office, then run over to annoleis with the data. but both of these seemed "wrong" to me, not only because annoleis is a dirty scum. but it feels wrong helping him out, when you know he is crooked as hell.

I realise this thread is almost a year old, but regardless.
I never understood this, why are you given virtually 'limitless' power (you becoming a Spectre) when you can see/use NONE in the game.
Noveria, garage guard: "If you want to enter the garage, you need authorization from Mr Anoleis. No exceptions, sorry"
What the hell? As many of you said/thought... Shepard needs to save galaxy, and -s-he really needs to screw around with some garage pass to do be able to do it? Meh. I was like "the **** is this" even when i was on my very first playthrough.

You can say, that one would miss a lot of the story if we werent forced to to do these chores. One doesnt HAVE to live with these options, as a spectre. It would have been good if you had the choice to go past these annoying gatekeepers: garage pass, hotlabs..etc with a single "im a spectre, its serious business, stand aside"
---> both paragon (kindly stend aside, i have a galaxy to save" and renegade (knock out) options , and maybe neutral too (i dont have to answer you, move)
Anyways..

It's not proper Citadel space, your authority as a Spectre is limited.

In Noveria, you can dock and keep your weapons becouse you are a Spectre. But hiking out to a research station? Now thats just too far.

I suppose in a realistic (not bound by gameplay limitations) situation, you could just shoot your way through the Noveria port, but that way you dont get the info about peak15, and even if you do somehow finish it all successfully, you may get a scolding from the Council (you know, for yet another reason to scold you). Thats a Saren-degree renegade, but Paragon is all about cooperation and compromise.

Because you can't just bludgeon your way through bureaucracy.

umm.. with lvl 60 specter and 10 gear, you can bludgeon your way threw an antimatter nebula. but to tell you the truth of the matter, shep isn't clint eastwood, or when that nagg comes to confront you about the guards being killed in synthetic insights you'd push her into the hay and give her... nm. point is, its crawling with guards in a lawless system. i forget how many corporations work their as well. and i doubt they would like you after you tanned the hide of every admin and guard in the building.

more interesting question. why not just shoot the door guard in the knees and snap fingers tell she lets you in? no one would miss one nasally guard.
