I well, wouldn't really care, there's only so much "ugly" they can make her, they probably will, or at least that seems the most logical thing to do, just give a texture, and modify a thing or two on her actual faceholder. That means, that although they can make her look "ugly", it's not like they can make her look like... that pic over there XD

No male LI has had his face obscured for both games. You want to talk about what Kal'Reegar looks like? We can do that, too.

It's a bit off-topic, but for example Miranda and Isabela have had a number of threads discussing how unnattractive they are. I believe most of the female cast in the games have had a few of those. In Dragon Age 2 there was one or two for Carver derp and that was it. Garrus had a few people disliking him for him being obviously alien and far from human appearance. Jacob's personality, or the lack thereof was complained about.

Why are male characters so rarely picked apart for their appearance?
But like I said, off-topic.

I think I would like the Quarian appearance not be universally attractive space babe/dude, but with a certain quirkiness to them.

This is about what if Tali is ugly,since we don't know yet. It has nothing to do with sex,I am sure that if Kal Reegar was a squadmate and possible LI,there would be a thread "What if Reegar is ugly?".
Miranda's appearance was discussed because she was engineered to be perfect.
Once again,it has absolutely nothing to do with sex.

According to her concept art from the "Art of Mass Effect" book .. she looks pretty cute .. i can share the pic of her face if there is no problem in doing so.

What we know:

- She seems to have two eyes, a nose and hints of a mouth.
- Shepard didn't leap away in disgust or Vader yell "Noooooo!"
- There is no possible way BioWare can make everyone happy.

Whether she looks like a "Space Elf" (where on earth did that term originate, by the way?) or something decidedly more alien, I highly doubt she is going to be horribly unattractive.
