Considering Quarians have to wear their suits almost 100% of the time, even in private, I can't imagine they're very um... taken care of... Imagine how someone who has to wear the same full body suit and helmet every day of their lives would look. I wonder if Quarians even bathe, considering they're packed together tightly in their ships together, and even taking off their suits to be intimate with each other is rare/dangerous.

Bioware will make her hot though, to appease the fans. Even if she wasn't, I doubt it would really make a difference to many of the fans, especially the fanatic fans. I mean, there are a lot of gamers who get off to Infested Kerrigan from Starcraft: http://images1.wikia...n_SC2_Phys3.jpg

Not to mentions nobody is bothered by Garrus, and look at what he looks like naked: http://www.creativeu...t/me-turian.jpg

So... I don't think it would matter too much for those who really do like Tali, if she were ugly.

They just need to make her look alien and people will either think she's hot or say that she's hot by quarian standards, some people think garrus is the sexiest thing since sex so it really just depends on who your asking, i'll be happy as long as she doesn't look like a purple human or a space elf, although sometimes i hope she'll be hideous because of the posts by people who think bioware has to make her beautiful or else

Just don't let whomever made most of the Dragon Age 2 faces within 100 feet of ME3.

Again I would like to point out that in a future where weapons can be mass produced by laser printers, FTL travel is not only possible but constant, standard issue (as in grunt level) hardsuits that have more processing power than any computer we have today...

and Quarians can't come up with a basic hygien function for their suits in three centuries? I mean come on Quarians LIVE in their suits. Even at the flotilla they do not remove their suits for almost anything save for important things like giving birth. Those suits for all reason is a HOUSE. Its where they eat, sleep, possibly even use the restroom in. Such basic functions would have to be taken into account IF THEIR ENTIRE CIVILIZATION was going to use the damn things for the majority of their life.

I'm saying they're not likely to take care of their physical appearance underneath the suit, not necessarily their health. They don't really have a reason to care what they look like underneath their suit, as most possibly don't even see. Ever see someone who stopped caring about their appearance for a very long time?

Considering the Quarians are barely scraping by and barely able to take care of just the bare necessities, I just doubt it's realistic to expect them to be high elves underneath those helmets, like many assume. Though, it is fiction, so they probably will be.

I do indeed know people who stop taking care of themselves. However if one is too live in an environmental suit certain methods would have to be applied. If Quarians have hair, it would have to be either kept a certain way, or shaved. Their suit would have some sort of cleaning functions, so smell would be a non issue. (Unless we are talking of an alien smell, but thats another matter)

If you are to live inside such confined environemnts you would have to take care of yourself to some extent to make it work mate. If anything keeping the inside of the suit so sterile would lend the quarians an... artificial appearance if you know what I mean.

I don't really take care of my personal appearance. I just shower and wear clean clothes and I'm still passably attractive.

I lean toward believing that IF Tali's face is shown, it will be "pretty" or "cute," since the fans will have to like it right away.

I thought Garrus was stupid looking when I first played ME1, but the Turians grew on me, and by the second half of ME2 I had grown so used to him he doesn't strike me as strange anymore. Heck, most female ME players (real or pretend) seem eager to romance him (which I think proves that females are far more forgiving on looks than males are -- a good thing, since most of us are ugly).

Tali isn't going to have a chance to let her "natural" look win fans over gradually, she has to be a hit right off the bat, unless she's "cured" and unmasked early in the game.

No doubt Tali will be in that category between cute and hot, but if she is ugly, I will laugh my a** off.

It would be hillarious
Due to the general helping of fanservice in Mass Effect, I seriously doubt that though.

But...many people just think Garrus IS hot. That is the thing. Many don't see him as ugly, but the hot, strange alien with the sexy voice and frankly, I, as a dude, wouldn't be bothered by some weirder female aliens and could easily see them as attractive too.
The only thing Garrus hasn't going for himself is how inhuman Turian bodies are, they may be a bit TOO different to be seen as attractive, but that is mostly covered up by the outfit, so you can't tell. Anything else, I don't see why someone would think of him as all that ugly.

Then again, my standards may be weird because I think the only truly ugly things in the game are Mirandas face and just Samara in general (those eyes still haunt me:crying: But the chest also doesn't help...).

The trend of people forgetting this is a futuristic sci-fi continue...

I'm sure Quarian's suits are just plastic and aren't totally integrated with all kinds of technology that could take care of tasks like keeping you clean. I mean that would be too crazy. Almost like microscopic bullets and psychic forehead sex.

Lol at forehead sex.

I have the sneaking feeling they will be revealing a Quarian face... just not Tali's. Biowares logic on this would probably be that we get to see their features but it allows for the "Canvas effect" to continue for Tali because she herself is not revealed and thus, anyone can still go along and imagine what she looks like for their own interests.

That would be reasonable, I have to say.

What's great about this answer is there is ZERO chance folks will be satisfied if BW actually reveals her face, regardless of her aesthetics. She'll be too hot or too ugly or too human or too alien . .. In this no-win situation, I vote Keep it Hidden! (which will also ****** people off!) I can't wait!!

Tali is sweet and genuinely loves you. I want to be all noble and say that's all that matters. BUT...
In the end, I'd keep her as a LI, but I would be none too happy with Bioware.
That being said, I've had my chances with some dimes that I just didn't get along with, but I'd perfer someone not quite as attractive that I really get along with.

I love Tali's naive personality and relationship insecurity, but honestly the whole 'suit' thing just makes me think the relationship with a human is just wrong.  Even if I knew she was a super hottie the fact that I'm risking her life to have sex with her just seems wrong.

Course it does seem like from what she tells us that even sex among others of her race is dangerous, even babies are separated from their mothers.  I guess if I can look at it as this is the only kind of sex she would ever know anyway.

No, no I still can't.  That relationship just has too many obsticles.  Course the two human girls have their own issues.  I guess it's best to just have Kelly dance for me and stay true to Ashley.
