Wrex decides to engage in a night of intimate passion with Sheploo.
And yes it's forced on the player.

Shepard is a reaper clone of the original.

All they needed to defeat Sovereign was friendship and heart.

It's been confirmed there's a twist on "I am your farther" levels.

That said, after some of the speculation here I am...sceptical about it now.

Yes.
I've had a feeling since playing ME1 that something big was going to be revealed to us in the Conclusion.

I hope so, but a nice grounded twist if that makes any sense.

We already know that we'll use the Citadel as some sort of weapon against the Reapers; this info is probably related to the "I am your father" level twist...

It it's some kind of Protheans built the pyramids type garbage I'm going to throw the game into the street.

Blaming aliens for human progress is my most hated stupid conspiracy theory.

We'll finally discover who Shepard's father is. He could be alive in the 3 possible origins (maybe he survived Mindoir). So, be prepared for Darth Vader!

Earth is a dormant Reaper, or has a dormant planet raping Reaper inside.

Nevermind, I googled it and found a thread discussing some Swedish article.

Hmm, I can't think of any good twists that could happen at this point. So either it's a really good twist, or it's a bad/predictable one. If I may buck the trend and take this topic seriously for a minute...

- We don't know yet who Miranda's father was (this is the most obvious potential twist IMO).
- We don't know yet why the Shadow Broker was continuing to investigate the Protheans.
- We don't know why various people in ME2 have got their knickers in a twist over Dark Energy, nor why Haestrom is dying so quickly.

That's all I can think of right now. Did I miss anything?

If there is a twist, I want them to get Seth Green to use his M. Night Shyamalan voice from Robot Chicken: "What a twist!"

I have a few things that I would like

1.) from day one sometime around the time TIM created cereberus he somehow finds a second reaper that is alive and well besides soverign and is using TIM for its own gain. For whatever reason it doesn't try to activate the citadel; course soverign failing also helps in that decision. So now TIM is a thrall of said reaper.

2.) I really like the idea that the reapers turned against there creators; the reapers are machines as well and they had to be created.

3.) there was an ancient war between a couple super advanced civilazations several million years ago; one of the races was losing and desperate to win and so created the reapers. The reapers started to turn the tide of battle but sometime during the war the reapers completely wiped out the other races and turned against the creators; the creators tried to fight back but by then they were so weakened that they lost.

4.) I am also of the opinion that said advanced race; when they created the reapers they left a weakness but we don't know yet besides of beating them up. I also wonder something would an massive emp blast do anything against the reapers?

What Could be Awesome:
The use of Biotics, mass relays, the Citadel, etc. is gradually causing planets like Haestrom to create a buildup of dark energy which will eventually swallow the galaxy in black holes. The Reapers exterminate sentient life to prevent the galaxy from being destroyed, which will in turn cause the Reapers to be destroyed. However, the Reapers transform the most worthy species into a Reaper to preserve it and unite it in their higher network. Eventually, the Reapers will develop the perfect organic/sentient hybrid lifeforms from the species they have liquified, and repopulate a perfect galaxy.

What's Probably Going to Happen:
Shepard said, I must stop the Reapers!
TIM said, no Shepard, you are the Reaper.
Then Shepard was a Reaper.

The Illusive Man is Shepard's father.

Can you imagine how terrible that would be?

Which means Shepard is half-Reaper-husk...

Which explains why the Lazarus project could bring him back...

Which means Shepard can resist indoctrination...

Which explains why Shepard can handle the Cipher...

Which means Shepard was going to be the mind for the Human Reaper...

Which means Shepard is the chosen one!

It all makes sense now!

Oh, and Harbringer is Shepard's mother.

The Protheans fathered humans, Mars was one of their last outposts and THEY were the ones who encased Charon in ice (somehow... heh) to protect their work because, unlike Ilos, the experiments on Earth weren't as well-guarded from the public. Which is why there are human-like statues on Ilos; they used the facilities there to conduct more rigorous experiments on the early humans. The statues are an expression of the Protheans' "engineering" of human DNA, to create an "ascended" life form.

Neanderthals also allegedly died out around 50,000 to 30,000 years ago, give or take a few thousand years. This was a result of the Protheans introducing a genetically superior member of the ****** genus, literally for the purpose of identifying genes that would make a species "dominant" over another (in their twisted search for genetic perfection, whatever their motives). What we know as "******-sapien" is merely a modified version of a naturally-evolved subspecies. Thus, humanity is more or less a surrogate species, and in ME3 we will come to terms with that.

Yes. Bioware is playing the "question of our parentage".

Edit: or it could have something awesome to do with the Reapers. Just wait for the game to come out.

TIM: "The Alliance never told you what happened to your father"
Shepard: "I know enough... I am an orphan, I have no father, no parents!"
TIM: "No. I... am your father!"
Shepard: "N...............HA! I knew it!"
