I didn't know where else to turn to so I'm asking on here, some friends and I are trying to run a multiplayer server for people to roleplay in a survivalist setting in an apocalyptic world. Some person has made it his/her life's goal to make us miserable because he doesn't like our server, thinks our roleplay is sub par, and other things that I have no reason to repeat. He keeps creating hacked characters and coming into the server, killing players, loots their belongings and then trashes them.
More so, if he can't get to us like that because we're ignoring him and a dm is killing off his grief characters any time he logs in, he'll by some means crash the server. We think he's trying to log in with a glitched character so the server is forced to reset.
We don't have a scripter unfortunately and his cd keys and ip address's keep changing every time he logs in after one is banned.
If anyone can help it would be appreciated immensely, our players are getting fed up and quitting. At the rate things are going we won't have any players.

Sounds to me like you have a great a hacker with a nasty grudge to you guys or rather made it a mission of his/her to destroy what you have. Well banning IP addresses work as a "Short term" fix it isn't hard to find multiple IP addresses that you can use to keep getting on specially if you know where to go.
With out a scripter this is going to be hard to deal with because this guy/girl can pretty much get around what ever your throwing at him/her. See coding isn't hard to figure out. More then likely this person is using or causing glitches to reset the server which causes a new opening for this person to pretty much get away with what he/she wants regardless. One suggestion is to find someone who can script because then it makes it harder for this person.
The alternative solution is fighting fire with fire meaning that you can use the same "Glitch" to your advantage and take him/ her out as well but again I suggest getting a scripter. Because the only way your going to honestly stop this person to what I understand would have to be find your own hacker and have them do the same and match this "Person" and drive them off though this solution I only heard of a very few slim times. The last solution I can honestly offer is to write all the multiple IP Addresses and report them to all "Internet Services" to have them take care of it for you because it will cause an investigation as to this person and probably consider them a threat.
May I ask however are you allowing players doing it by Email meaning signing up through e-mail? if so then you that be your best solution.
I'm sorry that this is happening to you and I am sorry if this doesn't help you much at all but this is the only solutions I can honestly give you.to fix this problem to my current knowledge but as to the email addresses keep in mind if that is how you have players log in anyone can create multiple e-mail accounts under false names and info on any computer or laptop and keep coming in and doing this to you but it does sound like your dealing with crafty hacker who found a loop whole in your coding.
