"When Earth calls, you be there with your dress blues on, ready to take the hit."

Oh REALLY muthaplucka? It's because of YOUR sorry azz that I ended up looking for Indoctrinated Scientest Number 5,726 a.k.a. Amanda Kenson, and it's because of YOUR sorry azz that I couldn't shoot her in the cutscene BEFORE she set the reactor to meltdown, necessitating me running around in circles doing BS combat and find-the-widget pointless activity passing for "gameplay". It's because of YOUR sorry azz that those scientists were out there digging around Object Rho like shifty-eyed cows with no sense of caution. It's because of YOUR sorry azz that I have carpal tunnel from all that pointless combat. So really, Admiral Hackett, how about I go all Khalisah bint Sinan al-Jalani on your Zaeed-clone face?

MAN I do not like Arrival. Shepard is a ****** for thinking that Amanda Kenson could get a vision from a Reaper artifact without getting indoctrinated ("We're not children, we know what we're dealing with"—famous last words b¡tch). Given the way the Alliance and the Council don't officially believe in the Reapers, Indoctrination, etc., Shepard SHOULD have seen that coming. And Hackett's debrief afterward—just condescending. How about you sweep all that under the rug there Admiral Lack-it? Or did somebody record the Normandy jumping through the Alpha Relay on the camera phone and posted in on the extranet? Seriously, about half of my Shepards are going to tell Hackett and the Alliance to shove it when ME3 rolls around.

I sincerely hope that Arrival isn't the template for combat in ME3. Not everyone has wrists of iron, BioWare.<_<

Oh no. We have to attend at a trial which will probably show the player a resume of his/her past actions, and it will probably not last for long, since the Reapers will interrupt it by attacking Earth.

Oh no...Shepard is forced to take the blame for once. My whole Mass Effect experience is ruined...

Oh no... someone doesn't like that someone else doesn't like something.

Oh no... their whold Mass Effect experience is ruined simply because everyone else's Mass Effect experience isn't perfect.

You're right! Sarcasm is fun....

This exchange could potentially go someplace nasty...

OT: I agree that Hackett's end-game comments seem a bit...oblivious. You might even suspect he's being disingenuous!

ME3 is not allowed to have ANY plot progression at all, dammit.

Interesting. I didn't consider that. All the more reason to punch him!

Yeah that comment made me rage at the screen for a bit, "Why do I have to take the hit?  Why do I always have to take the hit?"  However I calmed quickly upon realizing the answer; I'm the only one in the Alliance who ever does anything so of course I have to take all the hits.

Hackett's face is indestructible, no punch could harm him. He is so cool he would just demote you to private, put you on latrine duty, and defeat the reapers himself.

I knew Hackett reminded me of someone! How he managed to steal Zaeed's face is another matter...

I like Hackett shep screwed himself over when he decided to just go along with Kensen and not call Hackett while on the shuttle. So yeah I support going to Earth for trail I may not like having to face the music but I'm gonna.

I find it hard to believe Hackett didn't know what Kenson was up to. It's not like he doesn't have a history of taking advantage of Shepard's status and manipulating him to do his dirty work (Lord Darius anyone?).

Why does it matter if Hackett did or didn't know?

He's done more for Shepard than most other characters.

Oh, and by the way, I find it very childish when people are demanding the liberty to do whatever they want, and then start whining when any kind of consequence catches up to them.

ReconTeam takes the opposing side in a conversation? Shocker.

For your planning purposes ReconTeam, here are the characters I like, that you are expected to automatically hate:

Samara
Liara
Kaidan Alenko
Ashley Williams
Mordin Solus
Dr. Chakwas
Miranda Lawson
Jacob Taylor
Jack
Legion
Kasumi Goto
Aria T'Loak
Tela Vasir
Shiala
David Anderson
Nihlus Kryik
Asari Councilor
Salarian Councilor
Gianna Parasini
Lorik Qui'in

And here are the characters I am ambivalent toward or actively dislike, that you must reflexively defend and exalt:

Tali'Zorah vast Derriere
Zaeed Massani
Grunt
Wrex
Garrus Vakarian
Saren Arterius
Turian Councilor
Jeff Moreau
Donnel Udina
Conrad Verner
Amanda Kenson
Steven Hackett
Ronald Taylor
Pressly
Matriarch Benezia
Alestia Iallis
Mallene Callis
Sha'ira
Arcelia Silva Martinez
Ethan Jeong

I believe this is what the youngsters refer to as "calling dibs".

Or perhaps they are actually the same person...? I mean, I've never seen them in the same room as each other. Zaeed might just moonlight as an Alliance soldier on the weekends, or the other way around. You never know. Posted Image

The majority of people that can't simply accept the way BioWare is handling their game.

And is this in reference to my original post, or one or more of the responses?

Because God forbid anybody disagree with you. Judging from the conversation at the start of ME1, without Admiral Hackett's approval Shepard wouldn't have even been assinged to the Normandy.

Well, some people (okay, you) seem to make a career out of disagreeing with me. It's almost Pavlovian.

And so Hackett put in a good word for Shepard a billion years ago. What has he done for her lately?

Admiral Hackett is related to Zaeed.

And I think Shepard DID suspect that she was indoctrinated HOWEVER he/she needed absolute proof of the artifact. For all Shepard knew, Kenson and Hackett were mistaken about it being a Reaper artifact.
