Player Profiles updating slowly

I logged out and back in, the error has not recurred, but none of my character information is updating (days old changes). I have swapped EQ and Saved. I have dwarf warrior now and my Elven Mage is 14th or so and has been.
I did see an error code 1005 on my human male warriors in the profile diagnostics, but not sure what it means.
Any help would be great!
And BTW, this game is SO AWESOME! Thank you Bioware for the Game, it was worth the wait! Thank you to EA for helping Bioware out so they can continue to produce great game!

There should be a 'legend' so to speak after the table that shows the errors, saying what they mean. For example I have error "1005 - Extra unexpected files uploaded for this character." on mine.
When I get the timeout error, I don't trust simply relogging. I'll restart the whole game till I don't get that message.

Make sure you don't have the developer console enabled; having that on disables the uploads. Sorry if it's been mentioned in here already, i'm just doing a driveby posting.
This solved all my problems, I apologize to the devs for being a filthy, dirty, disgusting cheat. The sad part is I wasn't even using the console commands after my first playthrough, I just had it set up as the default shortcut and forgot about it. Now all my characters are uploading and I can upload screenshots without getting a message that I've use up all my space, thanks again.

But when I finally installed the game (after 'a data error has occurred') I couldn't choose from these characters... the only thing I could do was starting a new game with a new character...
Which is not showing up on the social network...
Achievements are showing up though.

Wondering if I can get reach a tech support line or email for a more tailored response to my issue or if this is one of those things where they keep monitoring the forums and it will be fixed in due time?

After that I changed the options again and checked the 'update my onine profile' again and... my profile was updated!!!
So my 'in game' created character was finally displaying here.
But that was the last time it was updated (played for at least two hours after my profile was updated)

The first thing is view your profile yourself. Of course, viewing your own profile won't work, so you have to trick it abit. The best way to do that is by using your browser's anonymous browsing function. It's called an 'incognito window' in chrome, most browsers have something similar. First bookmark your DA:O profile page, not the site profile but the one that shows your characters, ingame stats and achievements. Then, open up your browser's anonymous mode and navigate to the social site. select your language an d enter your dob, then go to your profile page. Now you should be good to go. It still may take a little while to show the updates, but it will show.
If your browser doesn't have an anonymous mode you can do the same thing manually by deleting all your cookies from bioware.com and blocking new cookies from there and then view your profile. Works the same as above, but is a huge pain in the ass if you also want to use the site normally.
The other thing you can do is post more and use a pretty girl for your avatar.

UDP: 80, 8001
these are the ports that EA tech support told me to open for this issue.

At the moment it's only partially loaded my character, just the stats and achievements(no picture, no inventory etc.).

I really don't care about game stats but I want my character in her blood dragon armour as my avatar. I tried tweakingmy firewall, opening those ports mentioned above and playing around with the upoad character profile setting and saving. It didn't work, at least not instantly(it might update later, I don't know).

disable developer console too, just in case. i read somewhere that it disables uploads.

I've changed my avatar to my female warrior in the hopes of it updating her gear imagery, since my first character dwarf warrior had his gear update aesthetically pretty frequently.
I can't do the dev console thing as my DA:O is on the PS3. Anyone have any idea on how to update the aesthetics of their characters' equipment?

Not to be snarky, but are you playing for the purpose of uploading characters? Because at most you are punishing yourself.
How / Why I play is irrelevant. The point is there's a system in place which still doesn't seem to be working properly. The option to upload characters is there, so I want to use it for at least one of my characters.

I'm not saying you don't have cause to be dissatisfied, just that playing for that purpose alone -- which is about the impression I got from your previous post -- seems to be missing the point of the game. But I see you don't have any characters uploaded now and your second post implies it has never worked. Is this correct? If so, is the diagnostics page not showing any characters either?
I've played RPGs for a long time, so no, I'm not missing the point of the game. This is the first game where uploading characters has been possible, so I wanted to use it for at least one.
I've uploaded a character before, but since then I deleted him and remade the character. He's never uploaded since then. Anyway I've deleted him for about the 6th time now. So I'll see if this new mage shows up. If not I give up.

Ask a friend to check out your profile and view your characters - because priority is given to those whose characters are viewed by someone else (not by themselves).
That was true 2 months ago, and was still true today when I wanted to update my characters.
Akimb0 and Iris562, I'll check out your profiles and see if that triggers an update for you. I hope so.
Edit: Done, I hope it works.
