I honestly can't figure out what is going on with my profile.

I only started playing last week and, for the first day or two, my profile updated fine. It was a little behind (i.e. level 3 instead of level 4, etc.) but otherwise, no problems.

Then it stopped and I didn't get any updates (except Achievements) for a couple days.

It started updating again over the weekend with a few new screenshots and stats added.

HOWEVER, the problem is that now, almost every time I enter the game, I get a pop-up message stating "You have timed out while attempting to access your online profile storage". Since I'm NOT trying to access my online profile storage, I can't figure out why I'm getting that message when I start playing.

Furthermore, the Player Profile menu option states "You have -1 files stored online (out of -1 maximum)". Huh???

This is the exact same problem I am having as well.  When I first got the game, things seemed to be updating just fine.  Then I believe I exceeded my screenshot storage limit, and I started getting that -1 maximum limit.  So I tried deleting some screenshots from my online profile and I got another update on my characters... But not a full update.  It said my first character had reached level 17, but I hadn't played that character for a week after finishing the game with it and was at level 22.  My second and third characters have yet to update however.

Yeah the updating here is effin terrible. I haven;t updated since Last updated 2009-11-17 and even that was a partial update. I haven;t heard any recent response to this aside from 'there is a problem with consoles' which doesn't apply to me since I am on PC.

I don't know what's going on with my profile. My Achievements was successfully uploaded, but my characters wasn`t.

I am also receiving the same problem. Currently my online profile states: Last updated 2009-11-16 09:45:23



I played DA:O multiple times last week, last time being yesterday. I always play logged in and have tried stopping updates, saving, re-enabling auto-update of profile. All last week I left it to automatically update and upload screenshots. The only noticable thing I can imagine, is since the date my profile stopped updating I have only been playing my second character, not the first character I created. Following this, I will have a play about with my originally created character tonight and see what happens.

anyone think maybe the use of mods may be causing this? anyone try playing with a clean vanilla install?
no unoffical DLC that is.

I havent had any updates with the exception of one acheivement since last month.



Im 2/3 of the way through my second playthrough. I thought it might be a firewall issue and dident really care to be honest. Just thought you might want to know.

Yep. When my updates ceased working (weeks ago), all I had was the vanilla version with some of the official mods - Dragon Armor, Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep.

I do, now, have some other mods, but at that time - none.

My profile still says it can't update because my online storage is full (also sometimes get the 'timed out' message), although I deleted all my obsolete online characters and screenshots. I now have NOTHING online, yet my storage is still 'full' and will not update. None of the work-arounds actually work for me.

Edit: My profile says it's being updated, giving times and dates, which appears to indicate that the game IS sending updates to the server, which the server IS receiving. However, those updates are not then appearing on the profile page. This might explain why my storage is 'full' - the data is there and there's lots of it - but because it's 'invisible' or 'in Limbo' I cannot delete it to free up space.

I have just registered my game today and only one of my characters has shown up on my profile even though I played the other more. I'll check in the morning and see if the second is there then. Its kinda anoying because the only character that shows in my profile is my husband's and I want to change my profile pic to my character.

Mine says it updated 3 days ago but it's still missing my new characters and many many updates.

I think the server used for receiving information HAS received it but the ones that updates still hasn't been able to process it all.

My co-worker logged to his profile earlier today and it updated his character right away. I had looked at it earlier and there was only one but when he did log in (first time in a while), it added the new one right away! I've been logging each day and nothing is happening for me

EDIT: I think it's because my console is enabled  From social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/6/index/314337, I found that out! I'll remove it, I'm never using it.

I managed to get my characters to update but they don't seem to be doing it actively, I have to go through a process each time I want it to update.

Any chance of you mentioning what that process is please?

None of my characters have updated for the last 5 days. All the achievements have though. I also might try to delete all the images as when these filled up is when my characters stopped updating.

Is there anyway to turn off the auto screenshot feature? Alas, I haven't looked in the options and am not currently in a position to do so.

Edit: Something tells me the profile pages are broken. Some of my screenshots are 39 years old apparently. I didn't know I was playing DA: O before I was born....

From the options menu ingame or from the loader, under the online tab, you can turn off taking the achievement and story screenshots, but you can also tell it not to upload any screenshots automatically.

Thanks, I'll check it out a bit later. I'll see what else I can change to see if I can sort some of these whacky connection issues out.

Well, I know I haven't exceeded my screenshot limit.  There are maybe two dozen showing in my in-game profile and only 9 have been uploaded to here.

I have absolutely no mods installed.  My sole character was created with Character Creator and the only DLC content I have is The Stone Prisoner.  (Haven't even done the Blood Dragon Armor yet.)

I have the same issue. It seems like I have a phontom storage. When I check this site there is nothing but the date and time indicating some update. In-game menu it says I have 24 scrshots, but I already delete from this site everything already.

My profile hasn't updated for nearly a month now, what I did notice recently though is that the amount of files "uploaded" seems to be going up even though I turned off screenshot uploading...anyone else noticed this?

My profile won't update correctly. 0 characters, some achievements. Can't upload screenshots. Daft hypersensitive profanity filter doesn't like my character name because it deems it profane when it isn't (made more sad given the game's certificate rating). It's possessed by an illiterate puritan.

Certainly did. I've turned off screenshots and have been progressively deleting them all as they show up on the Bioware Social Network. It seems there is a back log of screen shots which is trying to catch up and appears to be blocking any other character info getting through. I'll check it out over the next few days and see how it all goes.

Maybe they should have only auto loaded the achievement screenshots. I filled the 100 shot limit in one session with story screenshots so there must be millions of them from all players and that'd certainly cripple the servers.

I'm also back in the group of people not updating, my first character stopped updating a week and a half ago and my second character hasn't even appeared. My achievements have also stopped updating. I'm on the 360 so my saves are mainly manual saves (no quick save option there). I've tried the usual suggestions such as changing weapons and levelling up (my first character has gone up 4 levels).

Is it just me, or are Boiware no longer looking at these problems or posts?

Can see how you might get that impression, but hoping they are. I've also been waiting for EA support to answer a support ticket for over a week now (despite the claim that they generally respond within 24 hours, or 48 currently due to a high volume - guess they're even more snowed under than they're indicating).



Some reassurance would be nice. A fix would be even nicer
