The Darkspawn were always pushovers. Look how many the Warden smashed through in Origins.
In plainer terms, power-wise the DA2 darkspawn are equivalent of DAO climax darkspawn, while i'd rather them to be like the darkspawn in main part of DAO.
Meh, I always found the majority of them to be mook level. It was the alphas, emissaries and other elite troops that poised the challenge. Plus, you have to remember that Darkspawn backed by an Archdemon are more powerful than ones without. Without the influence of an archdemon or freed from th calling, Darkspawn are mindless. Mindless enemies are not what I would call a true threat. And I mean completely mindless. Like badgers.
