I'm a male.. so playing a male gives me the best immersion/roleplay.. Although I have had played femshep before.. and it wasn't too bad.. I made her a paragon girl scout since Hale does an awesome paragon wasn't a bad run.. I felt like Samus Aran with Jennifer Hale voicing my Sentinel lol.

I've played both and just prefer the ManShep. For me, it fits better. It helps me immerse myself into the ME universe and the story as a whole.

I thought I'd roleplay and do a femshep once. I finished it, but it wan't too memorable for me. Mostly it was VA delivery that I personally didn't like (I prefer MM's "flat/naturalistic" acting). The animations in some parts were also not ladylike enough compared to the image I had of the character in my head (Kasumi's loyalty, I am thinking of you).

Yes, for the sake of the femShep players, I do hope BW improves femSheps movement animations for them....She moved fine in ME1, but ME2 was shocking.

FemShep because I'm a woman.

Femshep. Normally my characters are split 50/50 when given the option to play either gender, but Maleshep creeps me out. Especially Sheploo.

I'm male. I prefer femshep. Interestingly I could connect myself much better to femshep than manshep. The story also feels much more original and not cliché at all when the protagonist is a woman(plus lesbian with Liara).

I didn't like manshep's voice acting either very much(I hear though that it got a bit better in me2 and dlc's).
And as a bonus I get to see my sexy paragade Shepard beat the crap out of bad guys and other dicks.
