I think Wrex is a more badass than Garrus, i have never gotten over the fact that Shepard can so easily kill him in ME1 tough...He's survived countless of skirmishes and battles, one of them being with his father betraying him, and yet just one hit from a human and the massive reptile goes down... yeah right...

I didn't buy that. Wrex would have killed Shepard, Ashley shooting him in the back was more realistic kill(btw what happened to his barriers there? i guess they or the armor dont protect you from a plot related death).

tough Garrus did hold himself alone against 3 merc bands working together. That is awesome. But other than that he always seems to be in Shepard's shadow, which i dont like.

No.

The simple fact that he is NOT the main character and not allowed to shine in that regard keeps him off the list.

I would put Wrex and even Zaeed in before I'd put Garrus.

Garrus, as of yet, does not stack up to a Master Chief, a John Marston, or a Kratos. If he were to get his own Mass Effect spin-off game, that might change.

Funny, though, how all the original ME crew members seem so badass in ME2. It's a lot like how X-Men has played out: even after years and years of introducing new characters, the originals seem to be more revered and even as, if not more powerful, than those who have come since.

He's cool, definitely one of my favourite characters in the Mass Effect universe, but he's just not THAT badass.

I agree. What is everyone's obsession with Kal Reegar?
The most bad ass Quarian in the galaxy is about as badass as Mordin Solus.

Shepard - Definitely if you're a renegade, MAYBE if you're a Paragon. Still, even if you're a goody-two-shoes, no one wants to f*ck with the man who took out the baddest Spectre and a Reaper.
Zaeed - A GREAT character who's legacy in ME is going to suffer because EA decided to make him only DLC.
Kal Reegar - see above
Wrex - The most badass lines this side of renegade Shep.
Hackett - Can badasses not do anything?
Aria - Let's see her in legit combat before we put her on this list.
TIM - (see Hackett)
Liara - If you take Retribution into account, she's a total badass, but otherwise, meh. She did help you take out The SB and his "bounty hunter." (spoiler sensitive)
Anderson - (see Hackett). But, obviously, in his day, he was a badass since he was one of the first N7 grads and the first* human Spectre. Plus, he punched out Udina, which is awesome in and of itself.
Legion - Cool customer? Yes. Dangerous? Yes. Emotionally detatched? Yes. "Badass?" Debatable.
Garrus - Yeah, he's a badass, but not when compared to others in the ME universe.

sorry i cant see jack like that, jack to me was a girl turned into a monster because of cerberus, she's just emo personified this is MY list

1.Shepard-Cause hes shepard thats why
2.Garrus-deadly with a sniper, took a bleeping missle to the face and nearly single handedly kill more than half of the mercs
3.Thane-Smooth, Deadly, Accurate and Unique, a character i would love to see return in ME3
4.Wrex-Hes Wrex, whatelse is there to say
5.Zaeed-i like his ruthlessness and abilities he has but because he is a DLC i dont have him going higher than he is
6.Mordin-its like Dr.Frankenstien is a alien mixed in with William Shatners speech imperatives
7.Grunt-Grunts just like a Wrex Clone but he is pure krogan, though stands nothing in comparison to Wrex
8.Tali-Out of all the Female characters Tali is probably the best, her skills and her tenacity is far better than some other video game heroine's
9.Ashley-shes only good cause she is a soldier and the most noticeable love interest ine ME1
10.Kaiden-decent but not really badass, i killed him off on my save
11.Jack-just a little girl turned into a monster, emo personified like i said
12.Liara-in 1 she was quiet, in 2 does a full 360 and becomes actually decent in LotSB but not good enough.
13.Kasumi-DLC if she wasnt she would be higher, nuff said
14.Jacob-he is not the prize when it comes to being a badass
15.Samara-boring boring boring boring yawn boring
16.Miranda-shes just a toy for shepard, totally useless imo, Tali can beat her easily

He's frankly too idealistic to be a 'badass'. Wrex, Zaeed, renShep...all fit the 'badass' ideal more than he does, despite his renegade side.

Garrus is in my short list of video game bros, but badasses? Garrus has come a little too late to the game to be on the list.

However if we are limiting the list to within ME then yes. He is right up there with wrex and Kal'reegar.
