In DA:O my GW was a mage and Ali I kept as a GW and the dark ritual was done and they were lovers. In DA2 Hawke meets Ali and he refers to my female as old friend were as they were and still are lovers! I hope this bug the new patch didn't fix this.
How do you know its a bug? Maybe they went their seperate ways/grew apart. My warden was in a romance with Leliana and she mentioned that my warden was 'dear to her heart', but she didn't confirm that they were actually still together- leliana went off to serve the Divine in another country and I assume my warden had 'warden' things to attend to. It was similar when I used the save where my warden romanced Zevran. So why assume that just because they are both grey wardens that they stayed together forever. In Awakening Alistair doesn't work with the warden. And quite a bit of time passes between DAO and the end of act 2 when you'd encounter the grey wardens in kirkwall. And at the end of DA2 Lelianna mentions that they weren't able to locate either the warden or the champion. So yea... I think the warden
fell off the world retired into obscurity.
The only time I've had Alistair acknowledge a romance was when he was King (act 3), and my warden was queen. Anyone else he just refers to as a 'good friend'- including a mistress. Just because a conversation didn't satisfy you doesn't mean there's a technical problem. I especially hear this complaint about Morrigan. My warden romanced Morrigan and it wasn't really mentioned- but why would it be? Where would they insert it? It wouldnt' make any sense. Flemeth: "Deliver this amulet to the Dalish at Sundermount. And also, the Hero of Ferelden was banging my daugther for a time. He was an elf and he had a dog named 'Goober'. Just FYI."
