well i actually tried doing that myself i just went and exchanged games and sure enough nothing changes
constant freezing still
tried starting a brand new game and made it to kirkwall and got the constant freezing

I just did that a couple of hours ago. I explained my situation to gamestop and they took my old one and gave me a brand new one. This one still doesn't work (freezes and crashes my system when I start a new game), so I'll see if I can get a refund and get inFamous 2 with it. Sorry Bioware, but that was the last straw.

thats a shame, because the game has a unique story, and I found the game to be enjoyable. I saw the Infamous 2 reviews. and they looked okay. I don't know what to say, but the critics weren't satisfied with the game.

I was thinking about maybe getting LA Noire myself, as I like games that involve the use of your brain. Any opinions?

It's worth noting about the Epic trophy. I loaded my 2nd play thru save before the end battle, then beat it... No trophy. So then I loaded my 1st play thru save & beat the end battle again. Then the Trophy did pop. Thanks for fixing this Bioware, after 100+ hours I'd feel pretty cheated not getting this.

Does anyone know if the Slo-mo Hawke/Isabella bug was retroactively fixed for NA?

@maddog48

I can confirm that the Slow-Mo bug was retroactively fixed for NA.  I downloaded the patch last night with my nice "bullet time" Rogue and he was back to his usual speedy self!  So glad I can play my Rogue again! :bandit:
Thanks for the fixes Bioware!

So DA2 reads all the characters who remained in Vigil's Keep as dead because of a bug with the DAA save file? Will this be fixed?

As Luke mentioned this part will not be fixed because it is an issue in DAA and how it saves the plot flag in the file, and I seriously doubt that they will issue a patch for DAA to fix it. Also it only occurs if Virgil's Keep was destroyed in DAA and Nathaniel was at the keep and not with you.

Instead of doing absolutely nothing about it, couldn't they have given the player the option of addressing whether Vigil's Keep survived, and whether the Architect was dead or not? They seem more than capable of giving a complete overhaul to the game mechanics, so I don't see why they can't implement these two options to address story issues within Dragon Age 2 that have been an issue for months now.

Since the problem is with the DAA save file. The only way I see that they could fix this issue is to provide a digital comic like they did for ME2. So instead of having predefined defaults as they have now give the user the choice to import from the save file or launch the digital comic to allow the player to make the major decisions that way.

I'm talking about the storyline and the related quests, not the DAA save file; addressing the problem by giving us an option to supplant the bad flags that have been an issue since Origins and the bad flags from Epilogues that still remain unaddressed to this day.

If you read past the first sentence that is what i suggested, and one way to do that was to use a method similar to ME2 for PS3.

Glad this patch is done and now DA2 runs close to what it should have from the very beginning, my only gripe with it now is those environments.

In DA:O my GW  was a mage and Ali I kept as a GW and the dark ritual was done and they were lovers. In DA2 Hawke meets Ali and he refers to my female as old friend were as they were and still are  lovers!  I hope this bug the new patch didn't fix this.

How do you know its a bug? Maybe they went their seperate ways/grew apart.  My warden was in a romance with Leliana and she mentioned that my warden was 'dear to her heart', but she didn't confirm that they were actually still together- leliana went off to serve the Divine in another country and I assume my warden had 'warden' things to attend to. It was similar when I used the save where my warden romanced Zevran. So why assume that just because they are both grey wardens that they stayed together forever. In Awakening Alistair doesn't work with the warden. And quite a bit of time passes between DAO and the end of act 2 when you'd encounter the grey wardens in kirkwall. And at the end of DA2 Lelianna mentions that they weren't able to locate either the warden or the champion. So yea...  I think the warden fell off the world retired into obscurity.

The only time I've had Alistair acknowledge a romance was when he was King (act 3), and my warden was queen. Anyone else he just refers to as a 'good friend'- including a mistress.  Just because a conversation didn't satisfy you doesn't mean there's a technical problem.  I especially hear this complaint about Morrigan. My warden romanced Morrigan and it wasn't really mentioned- but why would it be? Where would they insert it? It wouldnt' make any sense.  Flemeth: "Deliver this amulet to the Dalish at Sundermount. And also, the Hero of Ferelden was banging my daugther for a time. He was an elf and he had a dog named 'Goober'. Just FYI."Image IPB

In Awaking it was listed in the cards that the pair of them was seen together and even in DA:O it listed that they travel together.

Patch also says that it was supposed to finally fix "Who Needs Rescuing" quest in Act 3. To which, it does NOT. I still dont even receive the letter that starts the quest at any point during Act 3.

Really? Who Needs Rescuing? Was completely fixed for me. Received and completed the mission with no problems at all. However because it has something to do with Feynriel, I think it depends what you do with him as to whether you receive it.

Maybe that's it lol...My last playthrough I let Torpor possess him just to see what would happen.  We'll see if that is indeed the case this time around :)

As of patch 1.02, if you convinced Feynriel to leave for the Tevinter Imperium, Orlanna is the only person present in the camp. She says that Feynriel came to her in a dream, and when she awoke, the guards had killed each other. She asks to be taken to Feynriel, calling him her love, to thank him, but none of the dialogue options allow you to lead her to him. Despite receiving a letter from Feyriel, stating that he made it to the Imperium

So regardless, it's still broken? lol

Well, gamestop was kind enough to replace my disc since they said it was defective, even though it was way past warranty. Game now works without a single problem and I'm enjoying it so far (except Act 1 seems like an endless string of side quests, but my friends said a lot of them will come together/get more important later).

Sort of a big deal here. It's not the audio leveling issue but another one entirely I think. when ever there is too much action on screen with combat noises all audio in the game will turn into crackling nonsense and just really ugly noise. One way consistently trigger it for me is to have Anders cast haste have two dual wield rogues (one is Hawke) and Fenris.
