I like the FF change aswell, it was just to annoying to have Fenris etc... 1 shotting your companions. But since this will make the party play alot easier I hope they will make the enemies significantly harder to compensate for this change.
Nightmare mode is supposed to be very hard and challenging not something you can steamroll through once you learn the basic combat mechanisms.
It is also nice to see that alot of the weak and almost useless abilities are getting a buff while some of the overpowered ones are getting a nerf. Cant wait to spam fireball again :-) and acually do some damage.

Still waiting for the PC version of the patch. Come on, I got exams next week! xD
Did anyone record any fights yet? Xenebeck, or something with lots of ranked enemies.

So now with zerk is as if you had a weapon with that much more base damage?

Well, we upped the base damage enemies do on Nightmare to compensate for some of the changes. Personally, I wanted it even harder but I'm a masochist when it comes to these things (one of my favorite current gen games is Demon's Souls) so I'm always pushing for making Nightmare harder, but in a fun way, not in the 'chain knockback until you die' kind of way. I think this patch will hopefully set us up for a better overall experience in the future in terms of difficulty.
Sweet music in my ear
Looking forward to the patch.

Yes, if there was a "Demon's Souls" difficulty for a Dragon Age game, I would be immensly pleased. I would like nightmare to be nightmarishShandoil wrote...

Post-Patch SnS Warrior Test vs Varnell (Offered and Lost)
compare against
Pre-Patch SnS Warrior 30-Second Varnell Speed Run
Berserk's buff is absolutely huge. I mean it. It makes up for the nerfs in a BIG way, so much so that I'd suggest prioritizing WIL over STR, getting just enough to equip swords, and dumping the rest into your STA pool. I'll be continuing to test things out as I go along. There are likely better places to test this in, but this was the most convenient for me.
Edit: I really felt the health increase during this run, too. Pre-patch, those normals would've been dead in 2 swings. Might not sound like a lot on the surface, but it's an eternity when you're speed running

LOL!.. so bioware "attempts" to nerf warrior because they think its too strong but end up making the class even stronger than it was before?
It was just inferred that we nerfed warrior. We simply nerfed Stagger mechanics and Cleave.

For my 2-handed warrior you barely notice the damage nerf to cleave and blood/sarificial frenzy unless you're using mighty blow on brittle targets.
My auto attacks are pumping more damage because of the boost to berserk but the health boost to enemies sort of offsets it. I have 35 willpower about 250 stamina and find myself costantly low on stamina.unlike pre-patch The reduction to staggers is noticeable. I barely see any stagger combos.
I like a lot of the combat fixes but they made IMO the best ckass for nightmare even more potent and made a harder class for nightmare like 2-hander weaker

I actually agree with Arelex just this once. The Stagger mechanics IS the prime source of main damage for the warrior so nerfing the stagger mechanics and cleave IS nerfing the warrior.

Nerfing the Stagger mechanics and Cleave IS nerfing 2Hers, considering that it's where overcompensators get almost ALL their damage from.
Fixed.
