How big is the chance you reckon there's still one living Prothean to be dug up somewhere?

Like the Rakata in KOTOR, you know, all of a sudden they're still there

It wouldn't surprise me if we find a few Protheans or at least some good amount of data deep in the Citadel, from when they went to remove the Keeper Signal.

The ending of LOTSB hints that there's still more about the Protheans we haven't learned yet.

maybe no prothean in the citadel but somewhere in an ancient prothean colonized ice-world where there is a dormant prothean body stuck in a big ice-berg..
maybe a cool side mission..

Very slim, considering that they all were either wiped out or enslaved by the Reapers?

0% chance. Only way this is possible is if there was a lost colony. I for one would hate this idea though... I enjoy the Protheans as a mysterious historical race like all the others before them.

Protheans can't really be compared to the Rakata. I mean, one was harvested by brutally efficient machines who make it their job to erase all evidence of a race. The other succumbed to in-fighting and disease until they had to retreat to their homeworld.
The Ilos survivors were a fluke but a very small one, because it was a dark research center and without the ability to sustain a viable population.
It's very unlikely. I suppose if done right it could be interesting but I doubt they'll use it.

They certainly built a lot of nice sky scrapers and massive tunnels for a population unable to sustain itself.WizenSlinky0 wrote...

The Protheans on Ilos hid themselves in stasis pods to avoid being found by the Reapers. Ilos wasn't on any maps at the time, but they didn't know how powerful the Reapers were so they went into hiding just in case.
That's why they were mostly all dead. They'd rather die than give their position away and the Reapers stayed around longer than they could maintain power for everyone.
But no, I doubt there will be any living protheans in ME3. The Collectors were in ME2.

Perhaps an eight feet tall ancient prothean husk whipping its face vines around to destroy the environment, throwing Shepard around and climbing up to higher levels with ease. A boss fight.

We just killed off the remaining Protheans.

There must be.

And if not Prothean, I'd acutally like to see another race or two. From a system without a Mass Effect Relay or something.

I don't think we'll see living protheans. Visions, videos, data regarding their culture, and more importantly, their struggle and ultimate defeat by the Reapers, I think is a definite yes.

Doesnt the collectors edition of me3 include a prothean character and mission?
