I know some of us have professed that we would like Kasumi as a romance option for Mass Effect 3,but does anyone think that's still possible when she has a crush on Jacob? Or on another serious note the death of her former lover?

No new LIs in ME3, think that got said on the confirmed features thread.

Casey Hudson via Twitter already said this had changed

I wouldn't be upset if Kasumi got the boot. I never favoried her, and she added nothing to the game at all. I'd rather they make more major characters permanent squadmates.

Kasumi had just lost the love of her life just before the events in ME2.....it would be kinda off if she became a LI. Shep would be a complete bastard.....taking advantage of Kasumi while she (may be) is in a vulnerable state (and the [potential] end of the world to boot). If the option does come up....assuming she is a squadmate.....I hope she leaves the team cuz you are pushing yourself on her. THAT WOULD BE COOL! negative consequences for over aggressive actions...No means No Shep....no soiling your royal oats for you!!

It has since been un-confirmed. We can even get some gay male lovin this time around. ^_^

Anyways, I think Kasumi is adorable, I definitely support her as an LI.  At the same time if they do decide to make her an LI I hope they don't disregard the fact that she recently lost her partner that she was deeply in love with, so that would play a huge factor in how a relationship with her would play out.

It would be pretty strange what with her loyalty mission focussing on revenge for her dead boyfriend and everything.

But then again she is extremely hot, so I wouldn't mind.

I think it would be really cute - if Jacob was alive and unromanced - if Kasumi actually made a move on him. I mean, the woman's writing haikus about him!

I'd like it. I think she's a pretty entertaining character. At least compared to the other humans aboard the Normandy.

I agree, she's totally entertaining, apart from hot as hell. As for the untimely demise of her boyfriend, life can be tough, yes but you have to keep moving and stay strong.

Kasumi was more interesting then some of the actual they-have-a-dialogue-wheel characters. In know DA and ME are different teams and all, but Aveline's husband died and I thought her romancing of Donnic was written pretty well.

Kasumi is awesome. To the above poster who said he considers her his bad ass bodyguard, I feel the same way walking up to Donavon Hock's mansion... I wish there was a conversation option to say "My bodyguard goes where I go, got a problem?".

Now, on to Keiji... I'm sure the wound is still pretty tender, but Shepard was the one who helped her get the greybox back so she could say goodbye. Even if you let her keep it, she would only be able to live in those memories for so long before she would start to realize it was time to move on... I wouldn't be surprised if she destroyed it herself, after she had a chance to say a proper goodbye.

And really, it just boils down to the fact that she is dead sexy, funny, cute, sarcastic, and pretty much everything else a hero of the galaxy could want in a woman. Whomever said that her character is empty and has nothing to offer, obviously hasn't spent enough time with her.

Okay sorry for the essay.

This^.....I also feel Kasumi is one of the most balanced females around Shep, she is certainly the most balanced squaddie, she has nothing to prove, she just is who she is.

I do very much hope she is an LI option in ME3....If not Kasumi, I would be disappointed if she is not, as least Gianna, I see Gianna as balanced and as much fun as Kasumi. My Shep remains alone to date, would love the opportunity to change that.

I don't care whether she is a LI or not, I just want her to be in the game. She is one of my favorite squadmates. :)

i dont know how i feel on this. honestly i think its a bit unnecessary. i feel any new romances are unnecessary as theres like what? 8 or 9 of them? thats plenty.

though i dont have the kasumi DLC, i prioritized and got LotSB and arrival instead since they were story based and not just a gun and squaddie.

Is Zaeed even capable of love at this point?
