Kasumi is definitely one of my favourite squadmates personality wise and my absolute favourite gameplay wise. I won't romance her for my main but maybe one of my other Shepards. She should be a romance option and was really the most interesting Human squadmate.

Devs already said that ME3, would have no new LI's. So no, I doubt Kasumi will be one. Hell, she may not even be in the game.

Didn't they already change their minds on that?

Yep. When they said that it was earlier in development, and they weren't planning on including any new LI's, they later have said that they changed their minds and there will be new ones.

Kasumi is awesome. To the above poster who said he considers her his bad ass bodyguard, I feel the same way walking up to Donavon Hock's mansion... I wish there was a conversation option to say "My bodyguard goes where I go, got a problem?".

Now, on to Keiji... I'm sure the wound is still pretty tender, but Shepard was the one who helped her get the greybox back so she could say goodbye. Even if you let her keep it, she would only be able to live in those memories for so long before she would start to realize it was time to move on... I wouldn't be surprised if she destroyed it herself, after she had a chance to say a proper goodbye.

And really, it just boils down to the fact that she is dead sexy, funny, cute, sarcastic, and pretty much everything else a hero of the galaxy could want in a woman. Whomever said that her character is empty and has nothing to offer, obviously hasn't spent enough time with her.

Okay sorry for the essay.

agreed, and anyone saying taking advantage of her after she's lost the so-called love of her life obviously hasn't heard her talk about Jacob LOL

My Shepard totally has a thing for her, so i'm hoping she's a LI.... sorry Liara :P Maybe they'd be up for a 3some? *fingers crossed*

I take her on every mission i'm on and felt like James friggen Bond during her side mission. She better at least be a companion character in ME3 if not a LI.

How about we have just ONE female squadmate in the whole series who isn't craving Shepard's man parts.

Or is that just too much to ask?

The hood and personality makes her hot. But taking her as a romance is a nono for me. But I wouldn't mind having such a decision though.

I was in love when her "ad" popped up on the Citadel and I kept standing there and she got annoyed in funny sarcastic way. And her loyalty mission was awesome... one of my favs.

Whether or not she's a LI in ME3 she's an awesome squadmate I honestly wasn't going to get her DLC as I am partial to certain squaddies already but boy glad I did, great character addition.

(AND as for not romancing her so soon after she lost her lover, for a paragon shep that is obvious of course - but c'mon a renegade shep isn't going to try and swoop in if she's vulnerable? A pure renegade shep is the ult bastard/douche =D

Kasumi is the best female character the series has to offer, if Bioware plays the romance well then I'm fine with it. But it can't ruin her character, her romance should be funny, cute and lovely just like her..

I want her to be a squaddie again, that is more important than having a new LI... But if she is a squadmate she can be a LI as well..

You have to remember the Grey Box from her X-Lover, if you choose to keep it that is. I'm sure The Alliance - Cerebus will be after that greybox no matter what.. I'm sure she'll be in ME3 for this reason.. You never know, it might be about Soverign's parts the Alliance, Council are Hiding and Researching. Thus ending up in Inductionation of the Council.. *that would be nice, we get the choice to kill them again! specially after the crap they pulled..*

For now, I just hope they keep the same combat system and add more abilities..

Example - Added Bonus -

Love the Omni Blade

I don't consider Kasumi becoming a love interest for Shepard a bad thing. She obviously has already moved on and has a bit of a crush on Jacob, why can't she start having feelings for Shepard then? I was extremely disappointed when I was unable to romance Kasumi (I play fem!shep, but I still would have romanced her, she's awesome!).

I know some people are mentioning that it was already confirmed that there would be no new LI in Mass Effect 3, but if you read the phrasing carefully he says "Like I say, we’re not introducing any new characters that are going to be love interests." No NEW characters. I take this to mean no new characters (who haven't appeared on Mass Effects 1&2) will be love interests, but there is the potential that previous characters who were not romance options in the previous games could be romanced this time around.

Regardless, I support the Kasumi LI team. <3

EDIT: Also note that Tali and Garrus were not romanceable in ME1 but were romance options in ME2. *crosses fingers for Kasumi*
