Given how popular the romance was, I'd say yes. Doubt Bioware would back out on that one. And, as mentioned, Shepard pretty much confirms it did when she talks about Garrus to Liara.

Although it'd make a hilarious intro to ME3 if things hadn't gone to plan.

Garrus ingested and lost the ability to form new thought. Thus he is forever condemend to repeat the looping romance dialog when you talk to him after the romance scene.

As has been mentioned, just about all of the ME2 romance scenes are fairly ambiguous and you can't tell if any sexual intercourse has actually happened. The only really obvious one is Miranda's romance scene; it's clear she had sex with Shepard. The others, however, not so much. For instance, I don't know if Garrus or Thane had sex with FemShep in their respective scenes, but I think it's safe to assume that it did happen. And Jack... there is simply zero indication that anything happened between her and Shepard in that scene.

It's funny noticing how many people got confuse by the combo fade to black + alien lover. I've see similar discussions about Tali and Thane too. C'mon... it's a sci-fi videogame... some suspenction of disbelief is needed... if thei're enough "phisiologically compatible" to consider the possibility of having sex, I don't see why we should suppose that they didn't only because the new alien romance scenes weren't so explicit like as the Liara's in ME1.

Yes, they did. If you reject him, he says they could have broken a ligament, so I assume if you don't reject him, they actually break it Medigel FTW.

Yes, they did have sex - for some definition of sex. Anything more specific would be pure conjecture, and would likely cause Dean to post his asari parable again.

He says something pretty specific: intercourse. I only know one definition for that

For those who wonder, FemShep gets to hear about Garrus not doing reasearches if she does not take the paragon interrupt in the last scene.

Now i personally prefer not to take that interrupt even with a paragon shep because what she says always sounds a bit rude to me and well if she wants him to sut up, its for her to go yap yap yap...

So i had lots of time thinking about the <not watching the vids> bits and i guess as the whole scene it can be interpreted in 2 very diffrent ways.

On one hand it may show that Garrus isnt all that thrilled by sleeping with Shep and he delayed the inevitable the longest he could. Then hes just there hoping she'll send him down because he might  feel its better that she rejects him because hes afraid if he says no to her (no one says no to Shepard) then he might lose her friendship. 

On the other hand maybe he did not do those researches because he has a hard time seeing Shep as just a human. To Garrus, Shepard is well... Shepard. Their whole relationship is based on respect, trust and admiration, something that is certainly not common between turians and humans. Hence he might not have thought that watching human porn vids would have helped him know what Shep wants as an individual. Maybe hed rather find out with her (teaching/trust is a big part of their relationship since the very beginning). Which could be seen as somewhat a mature reaction. Hes not 16 anymore and knows trying to play it like in the vids isnt gonna work. Maybe its a way to hint that if shes in this just for some quick fun then she better go find Jacob cause interspecies intercourse will mean some akwardness at some point or an other. Hes trying to be sure she still wants him even if he feels he cant promise her the best night of her life. Who knows ?

Bottom line, in either case it does show a lot of trust in their relationship from his part to say something like that to Shep and it shows he rather deal with the consequences as they come.

But whats funny is that most paragon Shep dont get to see that bit of dialogue because they tend to take the interrupt right before it and sa somthing like <well youve swoon me so now shut up dear>. So paragon Shep doesnt know he hasnt done his researchers... <_< but then she cant be mad right, being paragon and all !

Well, that line comes up quite early in the romance dialogue (possibly for added alliterative appeal?). As such I wouldn't necessarily consider it an accurate description of the romance scene.

I was talking about Shepard's who get Garrus in Captain's Quarters before passing through Omega 4 Relay and didn't told him to just stay friends.
