I'm just curious if and when a patch would be around so Anders can side with the Templars in Act 3's ending. I not looking for a debate as to whether it should happen or not just an answer. I read on Youtube that the scenes were already made and recored but in the end the game bugs and treats him as a friend when in my lastest playthrough romancing him as a rival I made him see his ideas were wrong. Plus on the wikia it says Jenniefer Helper said letting Anders live is poetic justice. So is there a pathc coming? Maker please say yes!!!! Image IPB

Supposedly yes, and IMHO it would be the one thing that could make Act III be even worse than it already is. It makes NO SENSE for Anders to side with the Templars *ever* and it makes even less sense that Justice would permit it. Anders is already willing to die to oppose the Templars, so I fail to see how he could be compelled to join the Templars at all.

Of course the entire 1.03 patch (from the notes) looks like it's fecal matter that actually makes the game worse so I guess I shouldn't be suprised.

Yes, it's being (or already) patched. You just need to get 100% rivalry and scold him after completing his quest.

Speaking of 1.03, is this patch going to rectify the problem with Vigil's Keep being upgraded not being recognized and the Architect not being recognized as dead when speaking to Nathaniel Howe in "Finding Nathaniel"?

I didn't see it when I scanned the notes.  Even if it does, it butchers the game (even more than it already is) so badly in other ways, that I don't think it's worth it.

It doesn't really make sense for Anders to help put down the rebelling mages when he blew up the Chantry in the first place.

It's already possible through this bug I found, although I don't know for sure if it's possible it's possibly on PC as well (Ryzaki's results suggest that it isn't).

Having both Anders and Sebastian in your endgame party is more interesting, however, although they don't acknowledge each other.

Actually I managed to get it to work. I had to kick everyone else out of the party and knock the difficulty down to casual. But it worked. XD

Thank you so much for the info everybody!!!! I have to say I can see Anders siding with the templars because one if your are romancing him, love can make you do crazy things and two he atone's his sins which could be why templars over look what he did and allow him to fight with them. He can't undo what he did but he can show that mages are good by doing good and working for peaceful change in the world! Though I wish Sebastain wouldn't leave espically if you are his friend it doesn't seem to match his personally becuase you would think a brother of the chantry could forgive even though events happened moments ago lol! Really though since they can track mages by phylacteries (sorry for spelling from memory) why can't mages live in normal homes? I mean if one goes bad track him down lol! ^_^

Peacefully? Siding with the templars means endorsing the Right of Annulment - which means wiping out a population of mages because of an act they had nothing to do with. The person who can show that mages can do good is The Warden from the Circle of Ferelden - he's proactively shown how good mages can be during the Fifth Blight and the crisis in Amaranthine. Even an apostate Hawke can do good - like killing a serial killer of elven children and defeating the Arishok. Neither side is peaceful.

Atoning for your sins by helping carry out the massacre your actions provoked really doesn't make much sense.
