I am looking for a PW where I will be able to play a legit Eilistraee Drow.

I tried three of them today. Will not mention names as I wish to avoid a rant.

One I was told I would have to get DM permission to play my character so I was never allowed to leave the starting area.

Another I was thrown into an Underdark city and with a population of 50+ I ran around for an hour without seeing another player.

THe third one I was also thrown in the underdark but was able to 'flee' to the surface about half an hour in. I was then thrown back below by a DM. When I asked for a reason I was told he was running an event so I would have to wait my turn, and if I was caught trying to leave again I would be banned.

Takes an hour to 'patch' every time I try to join a PW. So 5 hours wasted and I still have no place to play. So anyone got some suggestions where a legit "good" Drow can play without DMs thrashing me because they have some personal grudge against Drizzt?

If no such options exist I am willing to throw my talents in with a build team, or would even be willing to start up a project if there were any help hosting.

Hello, I'm one of the founders of Sea of Dragons (SoD). I know what you speak of about Eilistraeen's. The reason most servers don't care for them much is they wish for Good Drow to be something very rare and for players to treat them as Evil beings, in which they are. The problem is to many people tend to jump on the good drow bus which in turn ruins the immersion of what Drow actually are, and that is Chaotic Evil elves that want to dominate Faerun. I'm not defending such servers nor am I saying they are in the wrong, each server has there very own opinion on Drows.

At Sea of Dragons, we allow Eilistraeen players (Without DM permissions or application), BUT...it's a hard road to walk as it should be for a Eilistraeen. NPC's in towns and cities within SoD look at you with fear or disgust, They will flee from you or attack you on sight. Shop keepers refuse business with you within human cities and towns. Our NPC's are actually scripted this way. At Sea of Dragons we take place in the Moonsea region, and have a big push on Drow playing followers of other Drow gods besides Lolth and Eilistraee. Our main focus is on the Vhaeraunites because of the lore of the region and Cormanthor forest. Lolthites and Eilistaeen's can still play but will find it more difficult.

Our rules to all drow good or evil is Kill on sight when it comes to them. It's not enforced just encouraged, it's up to the players to determine if they wish to do so. We are developing a very unique starting point for drow players (Currently they all spawn in a defualt location on the surface till the new start points are finished) Once it is complete it will be actually very fun for Drow players due to what they can accomplish and quests they take not to mention a turning point from playing a typical Drow of the Underdark that hails From Menzobarranzan or Sshamath and being stuck in the Underdark till you reach near epic level in order to travel to the surface. Instead we place (according to lore and manuals) Drow upon the surface with an established outpost, the outpost acts like a small village, where everything you need to get started is supplied and what not.

ShorlasX, Sea of Dragons is a good solid server. Only problem you will find is you will probably find yourself on your own been the token good drow. The staff is friendly there and will be happy to include your character in events if they can.

One thing I would say though about the server you had to apply to play a good Drow on, yes I know which one it is :) Try and apply as its the only server I have come across that has a large and active Eilistraeen guild. You wont find that anywhere else.
