A helm flag point object named {type}_Helm## (example ACME_Helm22) that tells the game what to do with the head and hair under the helm. In the user-defined properties of this point you need the line "HelmFlag = {flag value}" where {flag value} is either NONE_HIDDEN, HAIR_HIDDEN, PARTIAL_HIDDEN, or HEAD_HIDDEN.
