This is my idea ...
story
The game is set 20 years after Dragon Age origins, you play from the perspective of Morrigan's demon child. You start off being raised by her, in a small, secluded village in the mountains. When of an appropriate age (20) she reveals your true nature and your destiny as the only one who can save the world from Flemeth's evil plans. However, as if this was not a hard enough task, the Grey Wardens find out about the existence of the demon child and therefore aim to dispose of you, forcing you to flee the village and the life you have known. Throughout your journey, in true Dragon Age style, you will come across unique and interesting companions who will join you on your quest to defeat the ultimate evil. This epc journey will take you through a wide array of locations including snow capped mountains, desolate deserts and bustling cities. Depending on your choices the story will have drastically different outcomes.
I am aware the Conclusion of Dragon Age 2 suggests the return of Hawke, but feel that this story is superior. There is only so much you can do with one character.
please comment, positive or negative thoughts, and share your own ideas.
Thanks in advance, M xxx

Thats pretty good. As for companions, may i suggest a female human mage named Flemilf (who looks like Morrigan), also known as the Beach of the Wilds. Her backstory will feature her as a wandering apostate posing as Flemeth in order to terrorize a village. The MC will recruit her after exposing her cheap parlour tricks. She will have a unique shapeshifter tree, which allows her to transform into various shapes, such as a butterfly, a Beach(female dog) and a dragon-fly. Her initial personality/design will be of a kawaii anime girl and has a penchant for cute stuff.
Halfway through the game, she will meet the real Flemeth and it will be revealed that Flemilf is actually the vessel of part of Flemeth's soul, similar to the amulet, which explains her mediocre shapeshifting skills and child-like personality. The party will eventually have a showdown with Flemeth, Ending with Flemilf's consciousness taking over Flemeth's body, making Flemilf a real milf. Her skilltree will drastically improve and she will gain ability to shapeshift into a dragon. From here on, she will use Flemeth's character model. Her speech pattern will become more matured but due to the battle of with Flemeth's consciousness, she does not have access to Flemeth's memories.
Towards the end of the game, the MC will have to make the tough decision of betraying Flemilf and let Morrigan(MC's momma) absorb her powers, or vice versa. A full renegade MC will have the added option of backstabbing Morrigan after she has absorbed Flemilf, taking all their powers onto himself.
The choices made here will serve as the epilogues to carry over to DA4, where it will be revealed that Thedas is simply a virtual world, and the Maker as the denizens know is not just 1 person, he/they are actually regular game players. The chantry will be revealed to be a control system within the game, not unlike moderators. And the reason mages are subjugated because they are anomalous programs born with powers, powers that the game players fear that might threaten them. The darkspawns are actually anti-virus programs designed to obliterate the "world", returning it to a clean slate after each cycle. And Flemeth here happens to be the most powerful anomaly program ever created, thus she is also known as "The MILF". Wielding her powers, the MC will lead the world into a battle with the Maker(s).

I disagree that DA2 sets DA3 up as a return of Hawke to me it seemed like it was saying both Hawke and the Warden have disappeared and DA3 will have a new protagonist.
But anyway...
On the flip side to male GodChild I would have a female seeker. If your playing MGC the seeker is your main antagonist and vice versa.
My set-up would be this, the aim of the game is either defend and renew the old faith of the Maker by being the new Andraste or give rise to a new religion with an old dragon god at its heart. This is a choice for both the Seeker and Junior it's not something set in stone dependant on which character you play.
A twentyish son of Morrigan has been living isolated in the place beyond the Fade with his mother. One day a dragon (Flemeth) appears and rips out the soul of the old god from the boy and disappears. Morrigan is killed by Flemeth (I hate to do it but the literati gods must have their due) in a epic battle while junior watches on helpless. Junior is sent through the mirror in a magic backlash and wakes up in the real world. With soon to be female companion tending his wounds. A homage to how the Warden wakes up in Flemeth's hut after Morrigan has changed their bandages.
The Seeker, new to the order, I'm tempted to make them a dwarf or elf so I will because either one being the defender of the Chantry is a little twisted and adds drama down the road. She dreams of the fight and is awkened by her mentor Sister Leliana. The game is set 10 years after DA2 so most of the templars have defected, the number of people attending Chantry services is low and apostate mages are living almost openly. Basically the Chantry's power is greatly diminished.
Both Junior and Seeker go to Fereldon and find the mirror Morrigan used and go through it. It doesn't work properly and instead they get caught in a vision of the future, one where the Dragon religion has taken over. The vision is ambigious, they both see themselves at the head of a great army, killing beasts and their future companions but the decision for which side their fighting on is decided later on in the game. The mirror spits them back out and a gray warden is there and tells them the tale of how GodBaby came about. Seeker hears a threat that must be elimenated and Junior hears how his soul could be corrupted by Darkspawn, they both must find the great witch dragon Flemeth in the Freemarshes. As they turn to leave they are warned about each other.
