As the Mass effect Wiki describes, it is possible to get all 4 of Charm and Intimidate points by reaching the thresholds with the right decisions to acquire points in a playthrough. But from there on I become confused as to how exactly go about doing this. I am able and willing to go the 3 playthroughs to get each of these stats full but I am lost as to keep it balanced. Besides some of the point options wont be available to me on my first Playthrough so does anyone have any advice?

Yep, play renegade and use the monkey glitch on Elantia for your paragon points, that would be a lot less tedious the trying to micromanage your renegade/paragon choices. On your second and third playthroughs play however you want and use Lorik Qui'in to get the other. Trying to play for 75% in both is metagaming as bad as using the glitch.

I've been wondering... how exactly do those glitches work for the points? Being on my sixth Shepard, I think I've put enough time into the game where I shouldn't feel bad about doing it.

Monkey glitch (from the wiki)

It is possible to get an unlimited amount of Paragon points by searching the monkey holding the data module and then saving the game. After reloading, another search of that monkey will result in the Paragon point reward being reissued to the player, despite it already being claimed before the reload. You do not need to save/reload the game between searches after the first save/reload. This results in a potentially limitless supply of Paragon points.

Lorik Qui'in glitch (wiki)

1. On Noveria. You are given a side-quest leading you to speak to Lorik Qui'in, a turian, at the bar. A quest progression choice enables you to encourage him to testify in a court case. You can choose from either a Paragon or Renegade dialogue option if you have at least 5 points in charm and/or intimidate. Choosing either of these options will give you a reward of 24 Paragon or 25 Renegade points respectively. The conversation will end but you can talk to him again. Ask about a different topic (i.e. Matriarch Benezia), then choose "Another question". The option to convince him to testify will reappear. Repeat this for infinite Paragon and/or Renegade points. This bug appears to also work for the PC version of the game (tested on a 1.02 English/German version).

Note: Using the "Lorik Qui'in Glitch" has been known to corrupt save files. Certain decisions in Mass Effect are flagged improperly, preventing certain characters from returning, or certain emails from being sent to Shepard in Mass Effect 2. If importing the save file, to prevent corruption of data, it is highly advised to avoid the glitch as it is not required to maximize Paragon and Renegade Points.

It is important to note that the player should not kill any of the other monkeys prior to searching the monkey with the data module as this will negate the glitch's effects after the save/reload.
This has been confirmed to work on both the Xbox 360 and PC version 1.2.

Of course if you're on the pc you could just use the console to achieve the same results.

Nah, seriously, it's not really hard getting 75% on both renegade and Paragon... the 350 above is actually too much, but eh, if you take the cheating advice, go for gold. Just play a balanced/emotion based game. Kill some a-holes, show some mercy... you'll get it.

Yeah, I think a full bar of renegade or paragon points is 324 without BDtS. I forget what it is with BDtS - 340?

Just follow its quite easy to reach 75% if you metagame, never understood the point of using the glitches, just console the points in.

Then again I never understood the charm of taking taking a character to 60, the first 20 levels offer some challenge on insanity then it becomes just a grind. so I would rather start from lv 1. and console persuasion and xp in by the end of the playthrough if I wanted a lv 60.

Daqs, I could be wrong, but I seem to remember getting a full bar before getting every possible renegade or paragon point. I believe it shows full somewhere around 90% of all possible points. Or it could be that's where I just stopped caring if it got any higher.

It's sad though, on a renegade play through, it's still fairly easy to get 50% paragon without cheating or metagaming... just do all the side quests. As I said though, paragon or renegade, every now and then, pepper your responses with an occasional self righteous attitude (like any real renegade would) or throw in some emotional responses (even paragons feel anger). Just actually role play the character instead of, "Renegade Shep must select the bottom right and Paragon Shep must do the top right," and you should do fine. A word of advice though, do the side quests first as they become available instead of moving on to the next plot world and you shouldn't have too much trouble balancing your plot choices to achieve dual 75% scores... and Feros... lots of free paragon points and one section where you can literally balance your renegade/paragon points by selecting who needs saved and who's expendable (which honestly feels much more renegade than just killing them all since killing them all is just careless... choosing who lives and who dies is playing God).

Now I've said it before, so I'll say it again since I suggested it as a play strategy... it kind of makes me sad to see almost every RPG on the market rewarding procrastinating saving the universe to help Sally get her cat down from the tree.

324 isn't even close to the maximum number of possible paragon points in the game.  A full bar is something like 2/3 of all possible morality points - there are five hundred-odd in the game without BDtS.  As such, a full bar is kind of a useless benchmark, since it doesn't unlock anything new and doesn't import fully into ME2 (only 190 morality points of each kind will import).

Ah, right, misunderstood what you were saying. Completely didn't catch it was that far from the possible points, so thanks for setting me straight there (I kind of stopped paying so much attention once the bar looked full).

Maybe, because not everyone plays on the PC.  If you play on the 360 there is no console.  I have it on both, since I got it the day it came out on the 360 and later got it on PC, but there are people who play on the console.
