@Likeorasgood: "I remember a game like that, F-117a or something I think when I was in
HS. Had to copy it in two pieces and use carboard to play a friends
copy on my computer. AoP was one of my favs too, alon with Red
Baron...which now I look back and can't believe how bad the graphics are
even on sims. Wish there was a good updated version of them."
Hi - far be it from me to try & persuade you away from NWN, and I don't know which game you mean by AoP, but from what I've seen, a good update of Red Baron is the recently released Over Flanders Fields www.overflandersfields.com/info.htm .
Also, while its not exactly the same stealth or nothing approach, the latest version of Free Falcon allows you to fly the F117 (among lots of others) in various theaters around the world www.freefalcon.com/forum/content.php . Both are free (although OFF needs a CFS3 disk, unless you have a download version of CFS3).
OK, now get back to Neverwinter

I sort of remember that F-117a game as well. I was drowning in first year University and only played gold box games and some Tony Larussa baseball. A classmate at school got wind that I had a computer (286: at the time 386 were brand new but too expensive for me) and lent me the game and key map cardboard which if I recall fit around the keys. I couldn't barely get the plane off the ground (or it may have been an aircraft carrier). I gave up after a few days of playing. Red Baron was a flight sim more down my alley. Cool to hear a new version is out. I think this is the second time I heard of it but didn't have time to follow up last time.
Yah it was an aircraft carrier, I never had problems takeing off it was the landing part. I think I was in JH/HS when we played them. I had a 286DX that was faster than my friends normal bar bone. He had to have Red Baron on all high settings and I had to keep it on min sinsitivity or I'll end up crashing. I allso remember my dad said out of the 120MB (yes kids that is MB not G) of storage I had 60 for games and never thought I would fill it up.
I'll have to check out that new Red Baron out and some of the other flight sims that been posted. I haven't played a flight sim in ages and been wanting to play some that weren't to arcadish.

I can vouch for Il-2, it's the mother of all flight combat sims, but not for the faint of heart, at least with the realism turned all the way up. I lost most of my first dogfights to stalls.
I lost most of my to taking off!

Comisserations Lugaid - apparently real life pilots had the same problem & used to get round it by hanging out of the side of the cockpit until they were sure there was no-one taxiing in front of them - according to Microprose European Air War, that boasted a view that simulated it, although I couldn't see any key that switched to it.

Never tried RDR but supposedly it's great. I like FF8. And just so you know I will never pick up infamous 2 just because of the way coles face looks now. This is off topic but anyone got any recommendations on cheap games for 360 or playstation? Nothing to play until GOW3
edit:realized this is a month old thread with three pages on a game that I've never even played, I'm never going to get a answer

I've also got ME2 that I got for free with a DA2 promotion waiting quitly in the back for me to try it out.
Might eventually get to re-playing DA2 with another character build as well.

I still have not played the two DAII modules Mark of the Assassin and Legacy. Before I do those, I have to complete a full DA:O, DA:A, and DAII run.
There is a backlog of NWN2 modules waiting for me.

Otherwise I play NWN2 modules as a study for my own, the recent ones being The Corruption of Khiaro, Trinity, Sheep and Stone and Asphyxia. And I replayed the SoZ Campaign for more study a month ago.

I've been trying to get through some mods so i can vote on them at the Vault. I've finished Corruption of Kiahoro, Sheep and Stone (most recent version this time), and Shaar Moan.
I'm in progress on Traveller, The Wizard's Apprentice, and The Caravan Club.

Did you vote on sheep and stone
Not the best of my mods to take any tips from but thanks for condsidering it.
I don't do much playing due to the modding commitments I have set for myself. But right now I am play testing The Wizards Apprentice II.
... and it's very good indeed.

Then back to the nwn2 toolset.
Incidentally, Bethesda said the Skyrim toolset would release in January. Still no "release date". Surprised their community hasn't seemed to call them on that. I've been getting the feeling they're going to say "What? We promised a toolset? Ummm... About that..."
/ No, I don't plan to build for Skyrim.
