Under the specs at Gamestop, it say you need an x-box 360 controller. No mouse/keyboard support????

On one side, I'd love to get the basic collector's edition to have those cards for collection purchases, but I also want to get it from Gamestop for the in-game bonuses. What a conundrum.

Lead combat designer Joe Quadara, however, emphasized that, "Twitch skill is only going to get you so far. Strategy and proper RPG playing is going to get you farther."
And this:
Kingdoms of Amalur will feature "5 distinct regions, 4 playable races, and 3 class trees with 22 abilities per tree.

1) Is there at least some dialogue in the game or it's all Diablo-style action?
2) If there is a dialogue, is the main character voiced?

Xbox demo coming out on the 17th, there will be a demo for the PC and PS3 just no date confirmed yet. Also Reckoning might become available for purchase on Steam based on some hints from Curt Schilling. Lastly here's the latest Hero's Guide video that focuses on crafting and non-combat skills.
The demo will be available for all three platforms on the 17th.

I don't think the main character is voiced. I think it's like how TES does itTaldira wrote...

Another plus.
When playing the Witcher games I liked that they voiced Geralt. When I played DA:O, however, I realized just how much I prefer a silent protaganist in most RPG games. That allows for more imagination, the character to feel more "mine", and usually a greater amount of dialogue choices. Then I played DA 2...enough said. I quickly returned to DA:O and have since played a bit of Skyrim.
Unless the story and the MC are extremely intriguing (i.e., Geralt), give me a silent character (Skyrim).
At this point, I take my hate off to DA:O. Party-based, intriguing story, interesting NPCs, and an interesting PC that I could define. You can't beat that. Truly. Had they voiced the PC, it would have been too limiting, one of DA 2's many weaknesses.

KOAR is now cross DLC with ME3 and ME3 is now cross DLC with KOAR.
I know what we get in ME3 with Reckoning but what does getting ME3 add to Reckoning?

Having said that everything else looks amazing to me - the combat, the development system, the art style and presentation. Got high hopes for this.

My only concern at the moment is the level design... from a gameplay video I watched a while back the environment looked a bit linear and funnelled into corridors as opposed to the more 'open' world of TES. I'm hoping it actually turns out to be more varied and full of alternative paths.
.
Its supposed to be a full open world like Skyrim. That doesn't mean there won't be impassable objects and barriers though.

Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed there isn't a longsword or a claymore type weapon anywhere in there.

Currently, I'm trying to decide whether to play a Light or Dark Elf.
Right now I do know that I want my character to be female, be a Jack of All Trades, and as far as personality goes, chaotic. By chaotic, I mean she can be anything-good, evil, everything in between.
Definitely want her to be an attractive seductress though, so by reading the descriptions of the races, I guess I may be better off playing a Dark Elf. We'll see though.

I hate all these DLC bonus items (be it pre-order, demo-playing, figure-buying or whatnot) but ti was clever indeed.
I was going to play the demo anyway so I am going to get the items but I probably wont even use them. I hate cross IP stuff and unless the weapon and armor fir absolutely perfectly and seamlessly into the ME universe, they are not going to be installed into my Mass Effect 3.
