The Skyrim fanboys sure are creeping out of the woodwork today. They can't even stay in their own thread.
I used to play Skyrim.... but the game just couldn't keep me interested... then it shot an arrow into my knee.

But you can continue behaving like a child if you wish. I'll get back to reading the reviews wolfsite posted and consider buying the game.
Amen, stop filling this thread with hate.Angus Cousland wrote...

Skyrim has very little depth...and the ES series hasn't evolved much at all. They still use the same awful combat system they've been using for ten years or so now. Only thing different between Oblivion and Skyrim is the setting. The only way an ES game is really playable is if you mod it. Talking vanilla games here...Skyrim is pure suck and definitely nowhere near a perfect 5.
Wow, exaggerate much? You might not like the game, which is all well and good. But making such outrageous claims like the game has "very little depth", or that the only difference between Oblivion and Skyrim is the setting, is absolute bollocks.
I think Morroian is right: I don't think you've really sat down and played the game. I also get the feeling that you already made up your mind about the game before it even came out. No one could take such blind hate seriouly.

Wait... I did redeem the code for the Valor questline and I did download it, so why does the game tells me that I still have to purchase and download it through the main menu? I'm a bit confused. I got the pre-order code too and got a bunch of bonus equipment at the first village.
Also, what are in the three item DLCs? Stat wise, etc.

Mountain trolls, despite having roughly the same move set as the first troll you fight, are beasts. One hit to my disciple drains half my health bar. Anyone know a faster way to deal with trolls beyond run and gun?

Try piercing damage and stuning trolls, they seems resistant to all kinds of elemantal damage, and they dont get very slowed by cold damage.
Just atttack a few times(just finish 1 combo) and when they strike ,not before because they can predict where you land, roll forward.
If you attack form range dont bothe with charging attacks just shoot&roll.
My only problematic oppenents are that tree thingys. If i cannot open with backstab they give me hell on earth.
BTW Amalur's monster desings are terrific, fought a female undead thingy yesterday and that poison spiiting thing (im really bad with names) Those 2 did make me forget how "shiny&caroonish" games graphics are.

You mean the Threshes? Yeah, that continuous root attack sucks.
And yeah, the monster designs are crazy. I have to give props to McFarlane for that. You are talking about that thing with the arms and the barbed tail that spits out those homing poison clouds? I fought one near the Webwood along with a couple of those giant spiders.

G4 reviews the game and it's scores 2.5/5 that's a low score, so here's the link http://www.g4tv.com/...ckoning/review/.
I would say that is a highly biased reviewer there. He gave Skyrim 5/5 with all it's bugs, blandness and wonky combat system...yet he's nitpicking depth in Reckoning.

On the other hand I found Kingdoms of Amalur's demo irritating to play through, and only got through on my second attempt - I disliked most aspects of the gameplay and was in no way gripped by story, so that review would probably be spot-on useful for me.
He didn't just slam the game he clearly articulated his issues with it (and they are the same issues I and others have with it). Do you think every reviewer is supposed to agree with you?Jestina wrote...

He wasn't supposed to be reviewing the demo. I think he was just being an ass because he didn't get an exclusive from them.
