I'm going for Warlord! Loving the uninterrupted attack ability + frenzy chain combo with the special moves! Combat is fun!
Got a house as quest reward. Storage chest FTW! Finally. =)

I didn't know they moved after you finish their quests. Ah well, thanks for the tip anyway. Last night I ran all the way to Rathir(to connect with the rest of my race:lol:) It looks really magnificent visually and I found some amazing gear in the shops but unforotunately I couldn't use the armour(need more Finesse).happy_daiz wrote...
Oh, no! I almost did the same thing, but waited until I had the Vorm quests completed, so that the NPCs would move. One was getting the cure for the sick lady in the next room (Hunting the Thresh), another was meeting up with the guy by the fireplace to clear out some aggressive brownies. Once I had those taken care of, the NPCs moved, and I was able to sneak up behind that guy and steal his key.Andarthiel_Demigod wrote...
I need to invest in this Smoke Bomb ability then. I find it annoying that no matter how high you put the Stealth attribute up(almost max on my char) you can still get discovered if they're looking in your direction and this has caused problems with my Traveler's quests where I had to steal items in crowded NPC areas. I even ended up slaughtering everyone inside Vorm's Hut because of this stupid rule.
I'm guessing some of the other sneaky quests may be that same way (that you have to be patient, and clear up some other quests first, to make things easier on yourself)?

(along with accessories that add +1 to detect hidden and persuasion).
For those looking for a deep story experience and a game world that changes based on what you do, you'll find yourselves disappointed. The story, while original, was pretty straightforward. No matter what choices you make, the conclusions are the same. However, for those looking for an action RPG with satisfying combat and a large and colorful world to explore, you'll love it.

My only complaint is the difficulty. I'm playing on Hard and its a lot easier than most other RPGs. There should have been at least 2 more difficulty settings above Hard. Beyond that I am having a blast.
Yeah. You're right. On Normal my char haven't died once so far and that's very unusual for me. I'd play on Hard but I just wanted some quick action without much emotional involvement. Something to do while I waited ME3 demo and to keep me busy after, while I wait for the full game.

How funny, I just went there myself! The city and the views (and that lunar garden) are quite pretty. My character felt at-home there too, as she is also Dokkalfar. I liked how some of the NPCs acknowledged that.Andarthiel_Demigod wrote...

I also went to the Moon Camp, and got the quest to collect peasant clothes, and spent part of the evening (while I wasn't playing the ME3 demo) collecting and turning in peasant clothes. I have no idea why.
I wish there were more backpack expansions available. I've only found one so far, and I'm a packrat, so I keep having to return to my house to drop stuff off. I did just read in one of the wikis that there's one in the Scholia Arcana in Rathir!

Nothing wrong with the game, I'm just very, very depressed from the outcomes of a quest ...

Yea, I got that peasant clothes quest too. Have you joined the Travellers or did you just bump into Moon Camp by accident? I also found someone there who forges documents which is useful for a side quest I'm doing which requires an officer's pass. As far as inventory space is concerned I only found one expanision myself and sometimes it is frustrating to manage. What Destiny class are you using? I'm on Warlock(Tier 4 Sorc/Fin)

I joined the Travelers at the Star Camp, and stumbled upon the Moon Camp on my way to Rathir. I was doing another quest, which pointed me in that general direction, and collected a couple of quests while I was there. The leader of the Moon Camp wouldn't give me a quest right when I first got there, because he was aware that I had some open from the Star Camp. I finished up the SC ones, and started on the MC ones last night.Andarthiel_Demigod wrote...

I also got the forged documents (retrieve the artifacts) quest, which I thought was insanely easy. Rats and spiders? Really? How terrifying! Pffth.
I just got my second backpack from the Scolia Arcana in Rathir last night. They mention that you have to do some kind of initiation ritual to get in, but I was able to walk right in. (If you want to join the faction, they do mention it again). One of the vendors has the backpack in inventory. Hooray!
My character is kind of a Rogue/Acolyte Fae Blade/Chakram-wielding lass, with a bit of Might thrown in (mostly to wear the Shepard armor in the beginning). I joined the Warsworn, and collected a couple of pieces of armor in their quests, and was (and still am) sad that my Might isn't high enough to wear it. However, the armor I'm wearing now is actually better, so it's fine. Gotta love Blacksmithing!
I was a level 2 Scout for a while, but just changed destinies to something else...doh! of course, I can't remember which one it is! I'll look tonight. Maybe Tier 3 Adventurer?

(The Faeblades really look like wings on Kalasin's back)
@ Level 30s, finally I start pickin up top-tier equipment to break down and reforge. I don't have a full set of Spiritweave to reforge, but I do find a pair of prismere faeblades to break down ... but. it's UGLY! Totally ruined the image the hexweave mage robes portray ...

I forgot to mention I picked up a nice pair of unqiue Chakrams in Kalasin's mid-20s during the search for General Tilera. I did experiment with it and was tempted to invest points into Chakrams, but I love Twisted Claw and Cyclone more:

Ok, and this Bow might be a quest reward, judging from its description and the fact that I literally looted it from a named Tuatha assassin.

Kalasin is a Finess/Sorcery build, but since I got Cyclone move, I've been playing her very aggressively in combat more akin to a Might build.

I want it now!
And i love this games weapon damage style. Higher elemental damage weapons then weapons with high base pyhsical damage and low + elemental damage works like a charm for non-brute/non-inhuman dexterious characters.

My first mistake was not having my Dispel high enough to remove the curse from each member (a potion would have worked, too, but I didn't on Sir Sagrell, oops). Then, when I went to fight the Maid of Windmere, I didn't have enough health potions, and didn't bother to use any other enhancements. Even with my summoned Faer Gorta, she bent my Dokkalfar over, spanked her, and called her Sally.
And, of course, all of my saved games are within that dungeon, so I'm stuck trying it again. /facepalm

She would have wiped the floor with Kalasin too except that I had reserved a full Fate meter for that fateful (oops, pun) finale. All I did was to hit Reckoning mode and sliced her up with my Faeblades AFAP before her sprites overwhelmed me.
So the only suggestion I have is that you pickd up your earliest save, fill up your Fate meter for the final fight, focus on the Maid and attempt to damage her as much as possible before hitting Reckoning and whaling on her.
I had tried to defeat her without Reckoning mode several times to no avail.

That's similar to how I beat the Widow except I didn't have a full fate bar and had to wipe out a good chunk of her never ending spider army to go into Reckoning mode and mop up.

I'm not bragging. Even Curt Schilling, one of the big names associated in creating the franchise, has admitted that this is a potential issue that they are looking into.
In general all RPGs are pretty much terrible at appealing to the broad spectrum of gamers: some just want to skip combat and progress the story and some spend hours trying to figure out how to exploit the engine to play in virtual god mode. This game, while fun to play, is noticably less challenging than most RPGs.
If you don't believe me type "kingoms of amalur too easy" into Google

The only inn I remember being in the middle of the forest is the one where you have to steal the Draug Toothpicks. The NPC has the key in his pocket and the map is locked in a chest upstairs. The other one is an inn in Didenhil where you have to steal a noble's medallion. He always stood facing the doorway so it was impossible to sneak in. I went behind him and to initiate a conversation so that he would turn around and face me. It was easy to pickpocket him after that cause his back was to the door afterwards.Andarthiel_Demigod wrote...

In KoA, I finally scrape up the raw materials to construct a set of Spiritweave Mage Robes ...

... and I HATE IT! The one good thing I will say for the looks is that it matches the prismere faeblades Kalasin is modelling, WHICH I ALSO HATE!
I shall stay with my beloved (though inferior) mastercrafted Hexweave Robe (which IMAO is very elegant) that I crafted at Level 26, along with a new unqiue pair of Faeblades:

Interestingly, the Faeblades are called "The Dove's Wings"!

FYI, The Dove's Wings, base physical and piercing damage are the same as the base Tier 5 prismere faeblades, so I may not find a much better pair of faeblades (unless I craft one but I really do not like to).
However, I have been considering whether to try out Tier 5 Rogue Armor (Dreadscale) instead (though I have not collected enough parts for a full set). I have never liked any of the Finess Armor, but Dreadscale seems to look quite alright, at least more appealing that the **** Spirtweave. Stay tuned.
(I've been treating poor Kalasin like a dress-up doll
