You think the Illusive Mans betrayel/ doublecross or not is going to be huge in ME3? Depending on how deep Bioware decides to make ME3 for Shephard he/she has the opportunity to doublecross, triplecross, quadruplecross everyone and decide the fate of entire galaxys and species for good or ill, power and pleasure.
Shephard may have the possible ability in ME3 to solve the Quarian vs Geth dilema but still in the end be master of an entire reprogammed geth army via Overlord DLC. Being able to reprogram or control the geth network.
Shephard could have the ability to take control of Kasumis graybox and expose the Alliance to whatever they were implicated in. Weaking the Alliance or potentially using this to side with Cerberus.
What if Shephard destroys Harbinger? Will the Reapers ask Shephard to be there new leader? Will Shephard give up the fight against the Reapers and become a Saren doublecrossing everything he/she stood for?
If the above happens could Bioware potentially make you play as Shephard Love interest or Virmire Survivor on a mission to stop Shephard or get him to change his/her own ideals!
Could Shephard aid only humanity in the war against the Reapers making them the only species left standing in the Galaxy after they beat the Reapers?
All of this above is wild speculation on my part but it is driving me absolutely crazy with ideas! And that is why Mass Effect 3 and the whole series will be one of the craziest, deepest, most easily accesible RPG shooters I have ever played! Making it require over 15+ playthroughs to see everything possible which is why I actually have 10-15 custom Shephards!
