ME1 : still going through first play through . Have got into ME just 2 months ago and have played ME2 5 times from normal up to insanity always as a sentinel.
But next i'm doing soldier or adept , probably on hardcore to get the feel of it first.

I've played through ME1 maybe 4 or 5 times. I've played through ME2 more times than I can count. I really have no idea how many times I've done it. Steam says I've spent 831 hours on it. I have several new games that I've not even started yet because I keep playing ME2. I think I may have a problem.

I will admit it, I've played ME1 eight playthroughs, one for each character and three times for the soldier, but only finished four of them.

ME2 I played six playthroughs, finished only three. classes were nerfed, and biotics were complancent, made it a waste of time.

I lost several of my ME 1 saves, but I played through several times. The best class is Infiltrator; you can open things, soak up lots of damage, and deal death, all in equal powerl; it lets you pick you're favorite characters to go with you. The other classes all have their strengths and weaknesses.

I've played Mass Effect 2 more than a 10 times. The Soldier class is by far the most EFFICIENT class to play as, but I have more fun playing an Adept (Singulariy drains shields and sets up WARP EXPLOSIONS!). Vanguard and Infiltrator are a pain to play on Higher difficulty.

The Vanguard depends on Charge replenishing you're shields. But it's:
http://tvtropes.org/...in/CrazyAwesome

The Infiltrator is the LEAST EFFICIENT class; Heightened Adrenaline rush/w Widow is much better, and Invisibility just causes enemies to focus on you're squad...

Engineer isn't bad; you don't need to scan planets as much with it. Just remember: Don't DEPEND ON THE DRONE. It's just a quick distraction, only upgrade it after maxing out you're class/incinerate/overload.

Depends on the difficulty. Higher difficulty levels totally screw up the balance of the game. Like most developers, they only balanced for Normal difficulty.

14 times. With at least four more Shepards planned.

Hmm. On Insanity, whenever I cloaked, my squad would die almost instantly.

Adept must be over-powered on Normal difficulty, given what I can do on Insanity. I never play below Veteran; I have lots of experience with shooters, and Veteran is almost boring after playing the game a couple times.

It always Irks me when people say that the Adept isn't useful, because protection stops biotic powers. Singularity does three things, as I see it.
1. It holds them in place, or at least stumbles them.
2. It slowly saps their defences, particularly shields.
3. Once their defences are gone, it levitates them. Levitation does these three things:
A) It keeps mooks from attacking (incapacitation), besides making them scream like they've seen a ghost!
B) It makes them more vulnerable to gunfire (statistically speaking).
C) It lets you create an explosion, WITH YOU'RE BRAIN, by using warp on them.

Adepts and Engineers can launch powerful assaults from behind cover. And the adept has the best combat-flow; while you're waiting to cast biotics, you let you're shields recharge and reload you're gun, meanwhile a Singularity keeps'em immobile and strips their shields. Then THWAMPP!, warp explosion! So much fun...

I think 6 in ME1, one in each class, although I used some Sheps more than once in ME2, so my playthrough count in that is higher, probably 8 or 9.

ME1: about 6, 1 soldier, 3 sentinels, 1 adept, 1 engineer. I'm thinking I'll do another adept before getting ME3.
ME2: about 3-5, 1 soldier, 1 adept, 1 sentinel, tried engineer and vanguard then quit

ME1 = 2
(1) Vanguard - Spacer/SoleSurvivor
(1) Soldier - Colonist/WarHero

ME2 = 3
(1) imported Vanguard from ME1
(1) imported Soldier from ME1
(1) Sentinel - Earthborn/Ruthless, unique to ME2

.... realizing that I can't hold a candle to some here in this thread.

8 so far of ME, will be 9 when finished latest one
17 so far of ME2 with another 9 to be completed before ME3 is out. Some of the latter are re-plays though as I lost my save files when my old HD got corrupted :(
I'll be going into ME3 with 16 Shepards out of all that though. All the variables of 4 of the main ME choices all taken into account, with all possible background history/psych profile combo covered as well as class and potential LIs.

People say the adept is useless? Wow. On Veteran an adept can spam throw or pull at an incredible rate (especially after doing research and putting points into the passive skill) and keep almost everyone on the ground or in the air. I've never played Insanity as an Adept but by the sound of it you find it effective.

I usually play as Vanguard/Infiltrator/Soldier on various difficulties depending on what I feel like. IMO the Vanguard and Infiltrator both lose balance as the difficulty goes up, whereas the Soldier does not. As you said, using cloak on Insanity is just a recipie for a dead squad. Also, the Infiltrator can no longer one-shot-kill everything which rather messes up his gameplay IMO. But on Normal or Veteran I find the Infiltrator is at least as good as a Soldier (actually slightly better).

I also feel that higher difficulties mess up the team balance a lot. Jack, for example, is utterly useless on anything above Veteran...

I was a geek waaay before I ever played ME. :P

ME I played 25+, probably around 27 times. That's including the times I took a character through a second time. ME2 around 6 times.

I had 8 characters that I took through the game twice and two of those characters I played through 3 times. So that's 18 times. Then I lost them all right before DA:O came out... So then I went through again another 6 times with 5 different characters. So I guess it's more like 24 times for ME.

 Oh lord, where to begin...

To start, it's hard for me cause I've had a few rrod's since me 1 came out. I could guess based on my achievements, but my numbers will probably be guesses...

Me 1 has to be around 12-15 playthroughs. I played through every class, a few were stacked with multiple playthroughs of one char before me 2 came out.

Me 2 is probably around 6 right now, and thats probably a better guess that the first because the game is more recent, and I havn't had any rrod's since then, although I switched to a slim console, I transfered my files over to it.

So overall, I would suppose around 20 playthroughs combined between the two games. Wow, that seems like a lot to me.

i HAVE to hold some kind of individual record for most ME1 played. i have 4 screens to scroll through with i pick an ME1 character import in ME2, with the majority of them being adepts with the same fricken name. finding my correct import save file is an absolute crapshoot for me. that doesnt even count the numerous times i played through the game without going to the ending. like the times id play through eden prime and get to the citadel and notice my nose looked stupid or my eyes were too close together. ive played ME1 alot, no doubt.

ive played ME2 maybe 4 or 5 times. done with it.

its unfortunate, i wish i was in ground hog day where every day was the first day i played ME1.

ME - 8
ME2 - 14

Each playthrough is around 30 hours

So that's 660 hours or almost a month in real time... and to think I still have a job and a life (a very small one but I swear it's still there <_<)

Still not as many as Origins D:
