Invisible in Multiplayer

Some friends and I are playing a modded BG2. Mostly SCSII with some new items and such thrown in. Everything is working great expect for one major issue. Randomly, and EVERY time we save, we all become invisible to each other in game. To be clear, no one is disconnected or gets kicked. We are all in the same party and see portraits like normal. The only thing that happens is all the characters in the game vanish.

For instance, if I control Minsc and a PC, and another friend controls Yoshimoto, then when we save I will still see my characters, but not yoshimoto. He can see yoshimoto but not my PC or Minsc. If we hover over the portrait, or in the game, we can see the purple circles showing the other character. We can all still fight together, reveal map for each other, etc.

The only problem is that we become invisible. If we LOAD then everything is fine again.

Basically I know it is unlikely anyone can diagnose the cause. But it would be very helpful if there were a way to make it so we could see each other without having to load. Has anything seen anything remotely like this? Any suggestions at all? Except for this issue, it seems to be working perfectly....

Are you using the default Portraits?

I have had the same problem in multiplayer as well. Apparently it is because of ToBEx. You can turn it off by reinstalling SCS with the Disable_ToBEx 1 in scs.ini. More information about this issue can be found here.

vil33, fantastic to have some input on this. And a solution that is not too terrible. Do you know what effect it will have on the mod to install without TobEx? Does it disable any of the features or is it just an alternate method of install?

Also I have found an alternate way to fix the bug with ToBEx enabled but I am not sure how it affects the game,
