I'm a nerd with low confidence who never had a girlfriend before and never had a friend who was a girl although I have talked and got along with them in places like school or work but I never really had a close relationship with any female outside of my family.  If I went out on a date with a beautiful girl how can I make her laugh and keep her entertained so she won't be bored and have this akward silence which could f*** up my confidence even more?  Btw, I'm almost 30.

Asking strangers on the internet is not always a good idea, but I will try to give you some basics advice.

30 is not too late...yet. But you should really try to fix things before it is too late. Don't give up.
So, I don't know where to start and I hope you are serious. Even if you aren't maybe this will help people in need that really are troubled.
First, let me tell you that this is not a question that should be realted exclusively to girls as there are many things they don't admit or merely don't care.
So, for women there are basically 2 types of males: those that they are attracted to and those that they aren't. Alfa and beta is quite close to the truth.
They will only let those they are attracted to as close as you want to be. So you need to be in this group. The other ones are just friends, or they are just using them, they don't care etc. Avoid spending too much money on girls who don't like you, who are obviously just using you. A lot of guys like you (lacking self-confidence) can make this mistake You shouldn't.

So, you ask how to make a girl laugh? It is very simple. A girl either likes you or not. She knows this when she sees you. So, if she likes you, she will laugh at basically everything you say. It is not really about being funny than being positive and entertaining. This is the simple truth
Another thing you should know, but looks like you don't-girls are, well, human beings. They have thoughts, fears, dreams and desires similar to yours. Their way of thinking is different, their perception of the world is different, but they are not at all that hard to understand. So, you should start talking to them. No other way And don't worry-do you remember every girl you see/meet/talks to you? I don't think so. Well, they don't either. So failure doesn't mean a thing, it only matters how much you think about it.
If the girl likes you, she will probably do everything she can to avoid this awkward silence you mentioned. And she will do most of the talking You just listen, sometimes make fun of what she says, don't apologise for your jokes ever. It doesn't matter how stupid or meaningless they are, girls perceive things differently. She will remember the feelings she felt around you, your aura etc, NOT your exact words. So, just try different things, and never worry.
You said you lose self-confidence easily. That is a very bad thing. Especially in your 30s when women start thinking about family. They need emotional and financial stability, someone independent and self-confident.
Don't show too much interest, sometimes better to hide it completely (but only if she likes you and is flirting with you). If she has no interest in you it is completely irrelevant whether you hide or show interest.
Another important thing is whether you live in a big or a small city. Big cities make things easier because they you anonymity. You are just one the many people there and no one will remember talking to you a week later. In small cities (where people know each other well) you should play your cards more carefully.

Another thing-people out there are probably as lonely as you. Don't be afraid to talk to them.
Start going to places where you can talk to people. Dancing lessons/yoga classes/ etc etc. Meet new people every day. Go out with 3-4 girls at once so you don't have to put your eggs in one basket ( pun not intended ).
Dress well, appropriately and with style. Seek women advice about clothes, it is helpful. Find someone who knows a lot about women and convince him to help you. Tell him how dire the situation is.
Don’t give too much information about you away. Don’t tell her too much about you, let her wonder.
In time you will build confidence, you will gain new knowledge and things will start happening by themselves. You will realize how easy it is.
If you don’t like a girl, find a new one. If you like a girl, but she doesn’t like you, don’t be afraid to move on with the next. If she is using you START LOOKING FOR THE NEXT ONE IMMDEDIATELY. There are many girls. There is no such thing as the perfect one.
If your intentions are more serious then go out with many girls, even a hundred if need be (not simultaneously, of course). If it is marriage you want keep looking until you find one that you will be happy with, that likes you for who are, that suits you perfectly and will be happy with you. Otherwise you make either you, her or both of you unhappy.

Now back at your questin-to get a girl the laugh you need to get her to like you. If she doesn’t like you she won’t laugh at your jokes. And if she des she will laugh at everything that is even remotely funny:)

I'm going to disagree.

Some people have poor social skills. That's not them 'being themselves,' that's them lacking a very important life skill. Being able to hold a pleasant conversation doesn't come naturally to some people and it's something they need to work at. And the younger they are when they address this, the easier it will be for them to learn and consistently use those abilities.

Sometimes I can't tell when an OP is serious or not, but I'll assume you are...
Best advice: Be yourself.
You can only put up a front for so long...if a person you're interested in can't get interested in who you really are it's not going to work out anyway.

This is true. The best way, I think, to develop it is to simply ask questions. Taking interest in others is how to demonstrate you like them. It works even if you don't necessarily like that person. Asking them questions is the first part of discovering something about that person. So ask questions, think about their answers and ask questions based on them. Or on a different topic--as you prefer.
